  • The menu on Skyrim works just fine for me. (Playing on PC) I can see it's made for console because of it's structure but other than that, there's no problems with it, and I haven't used any mods to change it :)

  • in lol a negative kd means more deaths then kills and possibly assists depending on how forgiving u r

  • i actually found the skill system, menus, and inventory system (favorites menu included) quite smooth and intuitive, but that's just me.

  • it does have alot of flaws and bugs, but console commands are very fun ^^

  • Skyrim is a masterpiece of open world RPG. Nothing more to say.

  • Negative KD? That does not make sense in maths, unless you can some how revive the enemy or maybe team kill (depending on how KD is calculated).

  • Lol i just felt like searching this cause it is episode 69 lolololol

  • @Zeath163 .........

  • I seriously LOL'd at that Arvel glitch XD

  • i wish i could run skyrim with this high details

  • @LaKroTeQuiLa mee too :S I lag alot on my laptop

  • Sky UI is the only way I can play Skyrim now but it isn't completely finished such as magic, map, skills, are still clunky since they haven't touched it.

Skyrim PC = BEST RPG EVER yes with mods not without.

  • why are you complaining about the ui? JUST ENJOY THE GODAMN GAME HOLY SHIT

  • @AFByt128 If it bothers him he has every right to say so, plus he was asked a question about it. Don't get all 'butthurt' man, relax.

  • Comment removed

  • @Zantillia relax?, im just commenting?

  • @AFByt128 Why are you complaining about someone complaining about the UI in the PC version of Skyrim? *facepalm*

  • @SattelizerNoir why are you complaining about someone complaining about someone complaing about the UI in Skyrim *facepalm*

  • @AFByt128

Because it's immersion breaking (remember TES is supposed to be immersive) when you are trying to have a conversation with an npc, or buying from a vendor.....and then it kicks you out of the convo... -.- add that among the other extremely noticeable glitches and bugs...probably get where we coming from...

  • I wonder what the logic is behind looting all those linen wraps? Also I'd like to point out that I play on an xbox and I too keep accidentally quitting a trade when I wanted to choose a new item category.

  • Happens in every game, play the support and you get crap score because although without you the game would not have been won, the game doesn't reward support play. What really gets on my nerves is when people bitch at you for losing the game after looking at the score.

  • good god, the alchemy ingredients accumulate weight so quickly and silently, at one point i found myself carrying 100 pounds of the stuff!

  • The ui on consoles is actually really good

  • in battlefield 3 there is i did with the mission

  • has he done a wtf is skyrim if so link me?

  • @xXCODELITEFANBOYXx did you listen to what he said?

  • @xXCODELITEFANBOYXx No he has not, and no he will not :P he said that at the beginning...

  • @xXCODELITEFANBOYXx he says right in the beginning of the video he will not do a WTF version of skyrim

  • I used to like the arrow to the knee jokes. Then I took a FUS RO DAH to the face.

  • I used to take arrows to the knee but then this joke got old...

  • Khajiit FTW

  • lol 69th mailbox.....

  • i used to hate the UI for skyrim on PC, but then i took an arrow to the knee

  • I saw this review before playing the game and was expecting the UI to be terrible. The skills menu was a bit annoying but the items one I didn't have much problem with, even the skills one was more a minor annoyance.

  • oic

  • I used to be a youtuber who denied their audiences of things that they unfailingly request for, each day for months on end, But then I took an arrow to the knee.....

  • i still haven't gotten used to the voices in my head

    after all these years . . .

  • 3:54 Even the dragonborn sneeze sometimes

  • I agree about skyrim UI.

One hell of a game but the damn UI...omg!!

I clicked in wrong items, wrong dialogs, and sometimes it wouldn't scroll through the items with the mouse...wth!!

    Mod community please save me!!

  • "Bad gaming habits" tbh there just different gaming habits, we get it, you like playing the objective but if someone else likes getting lots of kills then they can, quit bashing everyone who doesnt play a game the same way as you, bring on the hate.

  • I really wanted him to not see the trap

  • I don't get what's so bad about skyrims UI, when I first played it I had no problems whatsoever navigating it, also the favorites menus makes it really helpful especially since you can keybind your items/spells.

  • me at skyrim, kill enemie, check briefly armor (because I've got like the best)

take gold and arrows and good bye!

  • the only troubles ive had with skyrim is i have a wow gaming mouse and its a pain the ass to move the crosshair with it xD

  • has he changed the FOV?

  • When you mentioned people going on about how Oblivion was awful despite spending hundreds of hours and etc, I lol'd and say "YESSS".

I've been browsing the GameFAQS forums and it's so rage-inducing.

  • Skyrim is too bandwagon but MW3 isn't? :\

  • I can kind of understand that this game is too large to to an adequate first impression, though i still feel that you should do some kind of video on it given how popular it is; but saying 'im not gonna jump on the skyrim band wagon because everyone else i doing it..' makes no sense!! You made a mw3 wtf is and you think no one makes videos of that? thats all youtube is going to be filled with till next november!!

  • Why are all the comments full paragraphs. I just liked the video.

  • I respect TB a lot but I play Skyrim on the pc and heard all about the horrid Interface but when playing I have no problems with using the mouse I only have problems when I go through my inventory with WASD. But I have had no anger towards you TB or some complaining players but please stop expressing your complaints even when any site about a game is full with the same complaint. Thanks.

  • wtf...i thought this game had close to no major bugs...but TB just stumbled onto one that i never heard of :o

  • I can definitely see why the UI would suck for a PC player, but as someone who was forced to pick this up for PS3, as that's the only piece of hardware I have that can run it, I absolutely love the UI. It really does work well with a control pad. And so far I think Skyrim is a lot less buggy than Oblivion was. I've been playing for around 40 hours and I've only had two major bugs. One was a side quest that I couldn't complete, and once a dragon trapped me in a small shack and I had to reload.

  • @ForeverMasterless

The UI has some minor annoyances which is caused by the not so detail explanation of the UI.

By using the WASD keys the UI becomes easy to navigate.I love it since all the keys are close to the WASD keys which can make changing a weapon, potion, armor(etc) faster than say oblivion where you have to click stuff

  • @rumahirfan Well that's good to know, but if I were playing this on PC I would expect everything to be centered around the mouse. That's what everyone expects, and that's one of the things that makes PC gaming so different from console gaming. I don't blame them for it, and I totally understand why they mostly focused on the console versions and didn't think it was practical to make a whole separate UI for PC, but it doesn't mean people don't have the right to complain.

  • BF2 Project reality

Arma II's vehicle handling is a joke

  • They made a mistake on the UI. Get over it, and move along.

  • Though- I have no idea why using the mouse to select things in menus can be so shitty sometimes, but BARELY functional UI? Barely functional is a bike with one wheel. If it's barely functional to the writer, then WTFs the UI of dwarf fortress? Feels like sensationalism to call a UI with shitty elements "barely" functional. I wish the favorites menu dislike was explained too, I can definitely complain about the UI, but what's so bad about favorites that you don't even have time to describe it?

  • Oh tb... I loves ya. Sometimes I feel like he's trying to live up to this "cynical brit" moniker too hard though. Maybe not, but lets propose that bethesda is in some way trying to exploit pc users rather than making a mistake. "You know what? Fuck em. Those pc users can eat shit and die if they think i'm gonna make them a UI- they can mod it in if they want it so bad!". I haven't seen actual evidence for the evil/greedy/kitten killing bethesda some people have acted out in the past few days.

  • @GrimReefer811 okay sorry.. considering another person responded the same way i guess its a problem with individual systems or maybe xbox and PC or maybe disks or something.. cause im a die-hard fan of elder scrolls, and after over 50 or 60 hours of gameplay, the only glitch ive had is being stuck inbetween two rocks i jumped into... which honestly i wouldnt count as a glitch. thats literally the only bad thing like that ive ran into. i play on PS3 btw. idk.

  • @Maj2004 okay sorry.. considering another person responded the same way i guess its a problem with individual systems or maybe xbox and PC or maybe disks or something.. cause im a die-hard fan of elder scrolls, and after over 50 or 60 hours of gameplay, the only glitch ive had is being stuck inbetween two rocks i jumped into... which honestly i wouldnt count as a glitch. thats literally the only bad thing like that ive ran into. i play on PS3 btw. idk.

  • "What in the everliving fuck" I lold. yeah that's definately a bug, He's supposed to be trapped in the back in the web

  • you would make one damn good game TB

  • The UI of Skyrim on PC is undoubtedly worse than on console, but I don't think it is 'atrocious' etc. I can navigate through it easily without getting annoyed tbh... -.-. PS: Skyrim = Best RPG Evar!

  • @wtfmmis me too, I navigate very easily through the inventories and shit just using WASD+E

PS: Ultima 4 is the best RPG

  • @wtfmmis

You haven't played many RPGs then.

  • @Meydra Or maybe its just his opinion? I agree with you, how can it be that someone thinks that game is the best RPG ever!? How can it be he thimks it different than you? How can it be that he can navigate the menu! IMPOSSIBLEZ!

  • @wtfmmis The UI not working with the mouse is absolutely inexcusable. Whether you get annoyed or not is totally not the point.

  • @wtfmmis hmm it's good, but their are not enough spells in the game, plenty of shouts, but not enough standard spells

  • @wtfmmis Use arrow/WASD keys to navigate and E to select, same thing as joystick and pressing A :\

  • @aeminence except you have to click a key 5x when u could've just clicked once with the mouse

  • @w800user clicking 5x on one key? i dont have that problem at all LOL Thats why i find it as fluid as a mouse/joystick. Two characters lvl 30+ and I dont have that problem. I had more problems using a mouse tho as a i found that i would misclick shit easily with it. Maybe user error or your keyboard? if its wireless it might cause that. oh well

  • @wtfmmis I get bored after about 20 minutes every time. Even on ultra detail at 1920 x 1080 the cave/dungeon graphics are pretty ugly, along with the repetitive gameplay and the fact that the community has given the game way too much attention (though that doesn't affect the game itself of course) makes the game thoroughly unimmersive.

  • @wtfmmis Sorry, replying to a 2 months old post but skyrim is far from being best RPG.

  • @pwdlabr That is his opinion, this is yours

  • @TotalHalibut SKYRIM IS A BAD GAME

  • @matthias18aTds HOW DARE YOU!!

  • @matthias18aTds PURGE THE UNCLEAN

  • Why in hell do you keep taking linen wraps and ignoring all the expensive, light loot like gems and potions.

  • @nechikens i know it is weird

  • @nechikens He's playing on novice with a Dumner, where he switches between spells and shield + weapon. Frankly, it's not going anywhere regardless of what he loots.

  • @nechikens his wow instincts say that he needs them for first aid.

  • @nechikens Did you not listne to the video? HE SAID HE PLAYS GAMES LIKE HE WANTS TO PLAY THEM

  • lol it seems that Jesse did a little faster on the 'riddle' ^^ didn't expect that to happen

  • ....rage box....

  • I NEVER liked Oblivion. Fucking terrible game, I gave it literally 4 chances on computer and console. I wanted to like it but it was so horrible. I never got more than like 5 hours into the game on any attempt.

Boring Quests... Oblivion zones had horrible design... Absolutely no point in playing really. There was nothing to make you want to play more.

Skyrim however, blew me away. Best game ever. Been playing it nonstop. Unlike oblivion, the quests in Skyrim are worth giving a shit about.

  • @DragonHunterX You thought they were boring? Holy shit i played it way to much.

  • @DragonHunterX Maybe if you played more than 5 hours, the first quests are indeed boring, but later ones are as good as Skyrim's quests.

  • @DragonHunterX

I agree with you on Oblivion, I despised that game so much that I'm not even willing to try Skyrim, it was honestly the worst RPG I have ever played.

  • @HeresASeatHD Trust me, I've played Oblivion, and Skyrim is a MAJOR improvement on it. But of course the choice is yours if you want to try it or not.

  • @HeresASeatHD you couldnt be more fucking wrong...

  • @xXSH4D0WZz

It's opinion based, is it not? I personally disliked Oblivion. I'm not negatively addressing Skyrim, it's just that I feel deterred in a sense after playing its predecessor, which I found to be not such a great game.

  • 1:00 Spacebar to jump bro

  • Funny thing about the UI being great for consoles. Favourites? very good. However, I'd argue that the the menu and level up section are swings and roundabouts. Navigating to an item is fine but, it can be surprisingly fiddly trying to get to a particular perk!

Also, what difficulty are you playing Skyrim on, because that spider repeatedly one hit killed me while I was playing, and at the time I was using heavy armour!

  • Anyone else noticed he looted a Sweet roll? From fallout 3? at 03:15

  • Could just be using a 360 controller with skyrim on PC, I do, It works just fine.

  • @Baelordscatavideos Yes, but not everyone has a 360 controller, besides, it's a PC game, if you can't even properly navigate something as basic as menu's with the standard input devices (mouse&keyboard) then somewhere in development someone screwed up in a major way.

Ah well, at least we got mods so someone will fix it eventually.

  • @Watch3r15 Find a wired one for about 15 bucks used, Not a problem.

  • @Baelordscatavideos Would a PS3 controller work the same way? I find 360 controllers to be uncomfortable despite the fact that everybody else I talk to with only 1 or 2 exceptions finds the PS3 controller uncomfortable.

  • @PrivateKeehl I dunno, I don't use a ps3 controller.

  • There is absolutely nothing wrong with the menu. You have to use WASD...seriously, what is the problem? WASD is just as important as the mouse when it comes to PC gaming. I prefer navigating the menu system with WASD so I appeciate the fact that the menu is set up that way.

  • @ImperialLegionTV Well good for you, but many pc gamers prefer to navigate menus using the mouse, as is a reasonable position to take. And the fact is the menu system is just broken as shit when using the mouse, so yes, there is plenty wrong with it. Just because your preference works fine doesn't mean the problems should be dismissed.

  • Has he answered his thouhts about mist of pandaria yet?

  • What is with all these people whinging about helicopter controls in BF3? They are exactly the same format as BF2 and Bad Company 2.. I have had no issues with them, in fact, I do extremely well with them. In a Rush game on Damavand Peak, I was playing defence and no-one on my team was using the heli. 2 people tried at first, and crashed in 10 seconds & were shot down respectively. I got in and had it for the rest of the round and got one of the highest scores.. Choppers in BF3 are easy!!

  • TB, I don't think its the same people that crowed on the first days and then said it sucks. Oblivion was heavily hyped and then didn't deliver in comparison to Morrowind. I was skeptical of Oblivion's system from the start, and after playing through the quests realized that Oblivion's pretty graphics covered up its lack of depth.

  • TB plays a Dunmer, awwwww yeeaaaahhh

  • @TheGreatRakatan ELVES IS ALL FIDDLY GITZ!

  • @forsterguy123 thanks buddy

  • 10:29 Did that guy just break free and say "Help! Cut me down!" I think he was suppose to be stuck haha that's weird..

  • The way CoD is now is the reason I no longer play it. I loved MW2, kind of tolerated Black Ops but ever since I got involved with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3, I think its safe to say I'm never going back to CoD. The maturity between the two games is one of the biggest reasons why I'm sticking with BF, but the fact that its team based and is encouraged to use your class to aide your teammates / obtain the objectives is why CoD fails in eyes.

  • 15:46 What about TF2? On "ctf" for example. You can win the whole match by yourself, capturing the flag over and over again, while everyone else is farming kills or wondering, what the hell is going on. You'll cocksure come out with the fewest points of all. "cp" is not much different, you'll hardly get rewarded. And that's just POINTless...

  • 4:42 what spell?

  • @SmackedSon The spell is: Fury, you can buy it from the Riverwood Trader.

  • Uploaded on my Birthday :D

  • omg i have never tried a game with a UI like in skyrim. i cant see the problem you guys are a bounch of babies. stop the bitching!! :D XD

  • 11:30 Priceless.

    Love the bugs!

  • Comment removed

  • I literally never have had any trouble using helicopters and jets etc in Battlefield games. Never understood the complaints.

  • @MadlukeLCM i think its just the fact the majority of people cannot fly them. the only way to practise them is too go into a game and use them and crash a few times, but other players will get annoyed at you for using them because you keep crashing them and are not helping the team.

  • It is actually completely realistic to be able to survive several bullets to the chest and survive due to the fact that soldiers where ceramic body armour to stop high velocity projectiles, after the plate has been hit a few times it shatters resulting in almost complete vulnerability to the torso. In collusion being shot centre mass and surviving is completely realistic.

  • @Sh1v3rZone Or instead of ceramic plates some countries still use the good old steel plate. Heavy as hell, but it takes near unlimited hits.

  • @TheAwesomeviking Thats surprising considering metal armour being used to deflect bullets dates back to the first world war, In my opinion it better to dodge the bullets but to each his own.

  • @Sh1v3rZone Better to avoid getting shot of course, Yes using metal to stop bullets is old, but not much works as well (Against normal small calibre bullets). However it is heavy and will not do much against ap bullets, where ceramic plates will absorb the force, but will become damaged in the process. Now i will state that not many soldiers use metal in actual conflicts, as personally i have seen it mostly used for training purposes (20pounsds of steel is good training to carry around)

  • @TheAwesomeviking Thats true, also it's more common for soldiers to be outfitted with dragon skin body armour as is it composed of many individual ceramic plates making it much more effective against repeat impacts unless of course the person shooting has grouping the size of a tennis ball which i doubt your average insurgent could achieve even if he is using a bipod. Although my statement about the single ceramic plate still stands because you can clearly see the rectangular outline in games.

  • @Sh1v3rZone Dragon skin is per data banned from most armed forces, due to some tests with the US army, However you do make a valid point. As for gaming wise, taking a few hits before dying is realistic. Both because of the body armour, but also because of the adrenaline keeping the body alive. I know that there is talk about Arma 3 having a system where hits to the ceramic plate will not do much damage, but several hits to the same spot will (As you said earlier) render it useless.

  • @TheAwesomeviking Oh I didn't know dragon skin was banned, I just remember seeing a demonstration of it taking a few .308s in a documentary and a representative of the company talking about how its the greatest thing in the world and how all the armed forces use it. Another factor to consider with games is the fun factor, if i got hit once and died I wouldn't call it a positive experience.

  • i play on pc with an xbox controller, i have eliminated the UI problem :) £10 on ebay, just go get one, trust me it will improve your game experience.

  • @mrmoetcast If i wanted to play it with an xbox controller i would buy it for the xbox...Ok maybe not, as PC have mod support, and better graphics.

  • DAMN YOU YOU tube I MISSED 2 wtf ises 3 mailbox

  • Also, Blackreach (a dungeon in Skyrim) - the most beautiful place I have ever seen in a game.

  • True, the UI is weird, but once you get used to the it, it's quite nice. Other that the UI, I've had no problem with the game so far (11 hours in, still haven't even gone to Graybeards). Been doing quests at Winterhold college and doing dungeons at that area, they are quite amusing.

  • "What in the everliving fuck." xD

  • theres a cut at 7:30 during the puzzle, TB never was one for the puzzles, i guess it took him too long. :P you can tell because he goes down and the order of the pictures are bird-fish-bird. when he turns around again they are snake-snake-snake

  • Personally, I always have a neg KD in BF3, but still have 3000+ points, because I defib and capture points.

  • the glitch i hate most? lydia disappeared. as in, completely vanished. on all 5 of my playthroughs (mage, stealth, dual weapons, barbarian and trader. i like variety :P) she disappeared somewhere in whiterun. my theory is the companions ate her. :P

  • @badgerbane I had that and my roommates said she probably died, yet I couldn't hire another companion. I ended up getting attacked by some hit men at the stables and out of no where she appears to help me out.

  • I don't understand...I've never had any problems with the Skyrim menu UI.

  • UNLIMITED POWAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • 11:30 xD Priceless

  • -when a large amount of cod's demographic is raging nerdy pre-teens -_-'

Also he doesn't understand that mw3 is one of the most unrealistic representations of war, and that mw3 is practically a polished $60 mw2/blackops map pack, where you just START OVER WITH YOUR LEVEL AND PRESTIGE.

I couldnt get past level 12 in black ops without dying of boredom... Too repetetive...

  • A friend of mine think skyrim sucks and mw3 is better just because skyrim is a fantasy themed game and has dragons and monsters, yet he actively plays runescape which he says is "different". He has never even played skyrim only seen the first 10 mins of the demo which wasn't the best part. What I find funny is how he finds stupid nonsensical reasons to complain about skyrim, from not being multiplayer, all the way to the fatigue bar when running. Yet he finds mw3 to be played by mature people w

  • I actually like the interface. I think it's got a lot higher learning curve than many UIs, since a lot of stuff is hidden by default (this is no a good thing for newbies, but the interface can be quite efficient once you use it). There are definitely areas of improvement, but I think they created the foundation to an excellent keyboard-driven interface (which are often faster than mouse-driven ones once you learn the controls). You do need more item info visible and search capability would help.

  • how did he switch weapons so fast?

  • @Keymasterr2 Hotkeys

  • Do you have any skyrim mods totalbuiscuit?

  • I think TB is ignoring a lot of flaws of Oblivion. Without mods it was an average game. Huge amounts of copy/paste (dungeons, ruins, etc all look the same), level scaling, poor voice acting, had a lot of very linear quests (no branching/options), irregular NPC behavior (guards knowing you lockpicked a door from behind the buildings), not a very dynamic world the whole place was extremely dull, static.

  • "What in the everliving fuck"

    Hahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • Unrelated to the questions but related to the video. I almost spat my tea @ "what in the everliving fuck" during that bugged quest in the spider room. "Cut him down" certainly got a whole new meaning in that context. Too bad it didn't work.

  • Urgh so many of these letters are just mindless sucking up to TB "I ALWAYS PLAY DA OBJECTIVE BUT MY FRENDS DONT Y IS THIS!?!?!??" "I HATE GAME PUBLISHERS Y R DEY EVIL!?"

  • What in the everliving fuck

  • is skyrim buggy? yes. does it have a bad UI? yes. do i give a rats ass about that? no, cos im too busy casting 'fus' at everything that moves. :D

  • @badgerbane Indeed it has flaws but its still awesome! for example as he said the skills menu.. even on ps3 it takes me ages to select the upgrade I want, theres no reaction to be hit which is pretty dumb (talking normal not power hits) and in my game at least (might just be my ps3 though as I got it when it was released so its OLD) the menu is laggy, sometimes it takes about 5-10 seconds to move the cursor.

But despite all this I sodding love it! for a game this awesome I can puit up with lag

  • @MrWarbarney It must be your ps3, ive got a new model and theres no problems there. however, i do have a vaguely amusing glitch where the analog sticks will stick in place, this means that no matter how much i move them, my character continues to move however i was in that second. it also completely disables my controller. the amount of times ive been edging down a cliff, only to watch in horror as my character suddenly runs off the edge... well, it stopped being funny after 5. lol

  • Tutorial before able to fly choppers? Every heard of America's Army? No fucking thanks.

  • Number of Bugs on Launch? I've played 33 hours and haven't seen any bugs...

  • DC universe online is another example of a pc game with a console UI (ported from ps3). With these companies making billions of dollars profit, i wonder is it really too much to ask that they make a separate UI for the pc version?

  • "what in the everliving fuck"

  • I've got to confess, I loved the Skyrim interface from the start.

The only real pain began when it interchangably doesn't want to work correctly with the keys, or the weird interactions caused by the mouse, or even the awkwardly lacking keybinds for a bunch of small things (YES/NO menus in particular).

In general, the design itself was imo perfectly fine, but the random inconsistencies bugged the living crap out of me.

  • The Skyrim UI is one of my favourites I've seen. I honestly don't get what the problem is with it.

  • .. What in the everliving fuck?

    11:30

  • @WinterF3l

    I laughed hard at that.

  • So sick of all this fucking whinging about a perfectly fine interface. Compared to Oblivions horrible tabbed interface its much smoother. I can respect opinions that some people arent happy with it. But if it gets changed and turns out worse, what then ?

  • if your exp points doubled if you win a match, people would play the objective more :/

  • TB; Slapping people through the internet since 1942

  • we get it tb, you dont like cod. and thats okey but dont be a dick about it

  • wow what a bug with he guy who stole the claw was that in your skyrim game?

  • By putting skyrim in the background, you have released a video of you playing skyrim. By typing "what the everything fuck" into the console, you have commented. You have released skyrim content. Silly TB.
