@amyjohnson207 Yes from a technical standpoint you are right, I was saying more about the "sound" of his voice if that makes sense. As for his band...well...for me there's only 3 other guys he should be making music with and we all know who they are, but I think inventing a method to turn lead into gold will happen before we see THAT takes place unfortunately and sadly.

I don't really want a Smiths reunion (lawnmower parts etc, and I think one of them would have to be dead before he'd share a room with Joyce again), but I'd love to see him write some new material with Marr.

@amyjohnson207 Yeah I was living in England when all the law suit bs went down, that was bad but I didn't realize until very recently how bad things had got to between Mozz and Mike J. I didn't get the "lawnmower parts" statement though.

@cudaj2 "Lawnmower parts" is how Morrissey (or rather, his lawyer on his behalf) referred to Andy and Mike during the court case. He thought they were creatively irrelevant to the Smiths because he and Johnny were the songwriters, and used that as his defence in court. Obviously, the judge didn't buy it, but I don't have a big issue with that contention. Andy and Mike have done nothing important since the end of the band, and Johnny well...wasted himself. Moz is the only one with a solo career.

@amyjohnson207 Ooooh! Ok, I remember that now! Yeah it was something like a Moz-40%, Johnny-40% and the other 20% to Andy & Mike. I know the judge didn't take to kindly to Moz during the hearing. I also remember Moz saying that Mike talked alot and said nothing, Andy couldn't remember his own name, and Johnny was trying to please everyone and pleasing no one and Moz came out looking like the bad guy. Such a dry wit!

I luckily went to a concert in Merrilville IN. a couple years ago while there with my Daughter staying at the hotel attatched to the venue. Everybody there knew every word to every song.
