  • Also, Metra makes their kits and harnesses on location in Holly Hill, Florida. I had the pleasure of touring their facility while attending the Installers Institute there in Daytona some 20 yrs ago :) And yes, I have been in the industry professionally for many years. Molding ABS was a difficult process due to building a form, heating the plastic, stretching it over another form and slow cooling it while not cracking it.

  • That was a funny response :) I don't blame you for doubting that I've ever molded anything out of ABS. You did a good job on your home fabricated kit. It looked professionally done and I do appologize for making light of your work.

  • Why in the hell didn't you advise the viewer to go to the local automotive parts store, Walmart, ect and purchase an installation kit for $10 ? Back in the day, we HAD to do this, or mold our own kits from ABS, but today, it's as easy as buying a kit. C'mon dude..... Really?

  • 1. I like building things. 2. we are selling our country to China. 3. the nearest store with the kit is 100 miles away. 4. it is not that hard or take that long. 5. I doubt you 'molded' anything out of ABS ever.

  • Dude have u heard of a instalation kit by the time u did all that i installed 3 kits wut a dumb ass

  • @MrJerry2722

If you live where I do, no you couldn't.

  • @MrJerry2722 Too bad you never learned how to do it without a kit. Not hard nor slow once you have the skills.

  • THANK YOU for letting me know how to remove that stupid trim panel. I've cut myself about 100 times trying to get it off but after watching your video, I went back and took the screw out of the auxiliary outlet and it came off no problem!

    THANKYOU
