@BeerGogglesReviews Very sorry to hear of your loss. This song is so apt for many senses of loss. I agree with you about "Spartacus"..... it is a sequence used in many tunes (the bars in Spartacus, this song and others are The major, the major-seventh and the seventh, overlayed with melodic notes. This and Spartacus seem to have an identical theme. I'm sure Willie would give it to Khachaturian.
@HOOYANOE Khachaturian and Willie duet. Now there's something. LOL. Both very beautiful tunes in different ways. I really do like your version of 'She Is Gone' though. Too much music is overloaded with filling and people seem to forget the weight there is in the quiet empty gaps in a piece. As if people will lose interest if the split second gaps aren't filled. Sometimes the louder that things are shouted, the less they are heard. Even the best heavy metal has gaps.
@pimple22 Listen to it more than once and at different times. The video is "compressed" twice by the time You Tube have it.. If you record something yourself and upload, you'll see. Do you play anything? Try it. Sometimes it guesses the wrong missing sound in the replays.
Ps... those bits of paper on the coffee table are not words and music for the song... if you don't learn it and practise it' you'll find it difficult to phrase it well ... that's my opinion and tip.... Rob T
@sourmie66 Hello there... I don't have any tablature for "She Is Gone"... I just copied a version Willie did.... The chords are A, Amaj7, A7, D, Dm, A, E, A. If you watch Willie's version on Jools Holland's "Later..." show (on You Tube I believe) you can see what I copied. My son Alex can just learn anything quickly, so I'm lucky to have him making me look a lot better with this song. Regards, Rob.
WOW THAT'S GORGEOUS.
I lost a fiance, and this reminds me of her.
Am very happy now but this brought a few tears to my eyes. In a nice way. Thank you.
Have you ever noticed the similarity between this and Khachaturian's 'Adagio of Spartacus'?
