  • I looked this up just to see if the Van isHalens were on this, and I can tell you 2 things...

    1. that is not Alex Van Halen on drums 2. Kiss sucks!!!

  • According to Rolling Stone magazine, that's pre-fame Eddie and Alex Van Halen on the "Love Gun" demo. Anyone know if this is true? I couldn't tell from listening to it.

  • @Newdge On most demo compilations its clearly written, that Paul plays all instruments there. We cant be sure for 100% what really had happened, but I have never imagined Eddie demo without a solo ...

  • The album work itself was worth buying the record...my god these guys were untouchable in the late 70's, every 10-12 year old back then was either a fan or a disciple...=)

  • That's awesome!! Thanks for posting the good rare shit!!

  • When I listened to this one more time today, I realised - its such a great song. But with the unforgettable solo its actually a masterpiece !

  • Awesome demo. Prefer the album version though mainly for that solo!!!

  • Cool shit...sounds heavier...like a step down...badass!!!

  • This also shows how talented Ace Frehley is ...if you listen to the final version, you can hear how he added the monster solo to the foundation of the song Stan Eisen wrote here.

  • @timtt2 :D Finally I ain't the only one to call him his name.

  • @timtt2 Exactly, and it is that solo, one of the greatest and most memorable ever, that makes this song.

  • NICE

  • It is impressive that Paul plays everything on here, but the backgrounds vocals don't sound anything like him & the fact that he didn't even attempt to put in a solo in there is odd. Obviously Ace would have put something of his own in there, but to have NOTHING in its place is just wierd

  • Wow, this is so much different from the original. well, in my opinion it is

  • I know Steve Korff. He played in a band called Planets that used to play shows with Kiss in the early 70's. He played drums on this demo. We were talking about this not too long ago.

  • love ittt

  • The Classic sound of decadence! I love it!

  • not bad

  • Early Kiss kicks ass, but man, Paul sure has some bad plastic surgery. He should sue his doctor for malpractice.

  • nice drumming Paul, you are the best! acutally Paul Stanley is one of the very few guys who play ALL instruments on one song, wich is AWESOME, we love you Paul!

  • Nice demo, and further proof, if any were needed, that without Ace Frehleys lead guitar, KISS would never have amounted to anything.

  • Anton Fig did the drums on that ,no?

  • paul play the bass?

  • @viktormau Yes, he is playing all instruments

  • @KISSbestfan

    even the skin flute?

  • @KISSbestfan No, he did all other instruments except drums, the guy called Steve korff played the drums.

  • @viktormau fuck you

  • paul plays the bass?

  • @viktormau no you retard

  • there's no lead?

  • Wow i can actually the base playing kinda loud and which is really cool long live KISS!!!! Gene rocks playing base

  • Love Gun - the last great KISS album! Come to think of it, it's actually the last KISS album (made by all the four original members).

  • @muffirub Ever hear of Creatures of the Night? Lick It Up? Revenge? Sonic Boom? ;)

  • i luv kiss o_0!

  • Paul is a great singer!!!

  • They really cooked around this time and earlier. Boy they sure put out some crap since. Mind you there is the odd golden nugget here and there surrounded by a heap of gravel and dirt.

  • They say paul's demos were always REALLY good, i think this is proof. I really dig the ebow parts on this too!

  • It feels slightly heavier than the album version, but i miss the solo :( sick version though :)

  • badass version but I missed the solo...it's so sick!!!

  • Does anyone old enough remember the paper guns that were included with this album? I bought the album when it came out in '77 and I wish I still had it!

  • fun you write about that - i was thinking a few days ago, what happen to all the things you got with kiss albums back then - the paper gun from the love gun record - a paper copy of a platinum record from double platinum album - posters from the dynasty and unmasked albums, just to mention a few things..so yes i remember those things to (c:

  • Haha, yea, the posters and paper guns.......well, no one can say that Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley were not masters of marketing.

I still have my Kiss Tour 1978 program from my first Kiss concert. It's a little beat up but it's one of my most cherished treasures. I saw them again in '79 and '80 but never went to another one of their concerts after that.

  • the stickers from the best of the solo albums ended up on my wall

  • Yes, I remember and I´ve still got them!! Cheers!

  • @tommybass40

    Hell YES!!!!!

    KISS!!!

  • All Instrument/Vocal - Paul Stanley ... What that means?

  • @xVanRiperx he plays all instruments... and sings....

  • JR Smalling, the "You Wanted the Best, You Got the Best" guy on Alive 1 & 2 is the drummer on this demo, as well as the drummer on the God of Thunder demo.

  • Just curious-where did you read that Smalling played drums on this? Interesting fact if its true...

  • Paul is a better drummer than Peter!

  • I hate that Gwar stole the concept of this artwork for their own album...

At least it shows tribute but Kiss is irreplacable. Thumbs up if u agree ppl! :D

  • @sb3124 which GWAR album are you referring to? i'm sure they meant no disrespect.

  • Great clip and a really good version

  • yeah great song

  • Thisi is awesome. Not too different from the album version at all.

  • did paul even play drums?

  • Yes, for example, you can see him jamming on the 1992 Konfidental video

  • he wasnt playing, he was just goofin around. i remember seein that.

  • @KISSbestfan Actually dude the drums were played by Steve Korff from "The Planets".

  • @KISSbestfan That;s not him on drums. That;s actually Peter.

  • @RokDAWG1 no its paul...

  • @KISSbestfan No he cant play all the inurtermuntes Then it would sound like crap

  • kool i guess

  • Where do u did this shit up from man....holy crap!!! un-believible mang....nice work

  • This was on Disc 2 of the KISS box set, I actually like this a tiny bit over studio, dunno why. Sweet demo.

  • this started back in 75 or 76?ace and peter wouldnt show up for recording, and paul and gene did what they had to do..if im right on the time frame...then bieng young and starting to get famous i guess they had people telling them you dont need them your just as good on your own!if 'all' of them would have not listened to their egos they would still be recording today..

  • You were very colse on when Peter didn't show up for recordings, he stoped showing up around 78 to 80 when they asked him to leave the band, although some people believe eter that he left on his own.

  • well they are recording now!

  • I love what everybody has to say here...I love Ace,beyond forever, Paul beyond forever..

Paul's voice is so bad ass.

  • Pauls voice is amazing, and Kiss is the band all new bands should measure up to. As a whole they are amazing, and pauls voice is unreal

  • Awesome Artwork! that was part of the magic, that you dont get today.

  • never knew paul can play drums

  • i read he had someone else on drums i think it was Bob Ezrin. it was in a documentary on this version

  • Little eye candy...BUT your video has the BEST equalized sound quality! Great bass! Thanks for posting GOOD sound!

  • man im so glad paul plays everything

he was born to play music

  • paul's voice sounds like on the album version.

    great band, kiss.

  • great song but where did you get your info?

  • It was wroten on "KISS - The Demo Collection" CD. Like other my songs on my channel. Eventually mistakes of band members, its not my fault.

  • He played the drums, too?

  • Yeach, he played all instruments, and after mixed it into one song. Also chorals, are his mixed voice.

And yes he also played drums, so the drum track isnt much fast and hard, as could play this Peter

  • i read that someone else was on the drums

  • could have been Anton Fig
