Judging by the trailer, Oni is arguably still in beta, even in it's final released form. Cut multiplayer, graphics, guns, levels, blood... And no patches ever came out dor this game. I am happy that at least we have the working multiplayer now - Oni flatline.

Besides, we can shoot with a lot of different weapons. I've never seen another game in which we can do all of these things. Do you know any game for PC more or less like that? @ArnoldSilver hmm well there is a game more or less like it you could try get a game called Omikron:The Nomad Soul its made by the people who made Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain you fight,shoot,pretty much free roam and its also a bit of a puzzle game that make you really think but not the sort of crossword puzzle as your trying to find out what happened to the person you play as Kay'l (think thats how you spell his name) the game is not well known plus you play as other people mayb check it out

The robot and some other features were removed from the final version of the game. Bungie also promised multiplayer, but in the end they removed it, because there were limitations with LAN networks at that time (and now........ 2010.... where technology is so awesome, that online multiplayer is no "big deal".... the tech is more advanced that a few years ago)

the trailer must be from when it was still in development. I don't have a giant robot in my copy and the karakter models are different.

@lizardizzle I played the PC version, and unfortunately the controls were a bit unresponsive. I couldn't do most of the best moves, and the only time I did her best one was by mistake and it sent me off the edge of a building :(

However, this was still a fucking fun game to play, I wish they'd make a sequel.

It was removed from the final version of the game as well as the multiplayer option that Bungie was planning, due limitations of LAN networks at that time

I think Oni's flaw was that Bungie tried to do more than what they had the technology to accomplish. Personally, while I enjoyed the game, it always felt like you had a variety of tactics you could use, at the expense of added depth to those tactics that would have made it a much better experience.

Now, if they were to try something like this game with today's technology, I think they might be able to do something really impressive.
