@evan13579b Knowledge, practice, precision and speed that is required to win in SC is just far more superior compared to other strategy games. Its because of the way that game works and is made. Its just really deep. CnC 3 on the other hand is really easy to master because of its low skill ceiling. Watching cnc3 you dont get those "oh shit, look at that gosu move" "omg, that was so amazing", "wow, what he did was just pure genius" moments.

Maybe it isn't a particularly good game. I don't know. But it the skills required to be good in starcraft are related mostly to the level of competition. Enough time spent on any game would require one's opponents to improve at it.

Game is deep and you can actually progress In CnC3 u will reach maximum potential real soon. Every1 play pretty much the same with little differences. Watch pro replays. It's interesting to see this game played at such a high competitive level, but wow! Just like any C&C game, this game you just have to mass 1 unit and you win. There was some strategy involved, but still, just massing 1 unit and winning. One thing I hate about the C&C series.

That's EXACTLY what I'm thinging. I'm not too keen on the whole "crawler" makeover they've given the conyards... Don't get me wrong, I'm all for innovative gaming - CnC3 was just EPIC. It bought so many new things to the table that made CnC3 an RTS icon for YEARS to come. But honestly, they're just changing too much from classic CnC for the sequel... I'm looking forward to it, sure, but why do I keep having this nagging fear that EA are going to damage the formula beyond all hope of repair....?
