  • I want to be you when I grow up! O.O

No joke, I love fish so much, I would rather buy huge tanks than go on vacation :)

  • Those are big Tilapia! Those were grown in the 15,000 gallon tank? What are the dimensions of those glass walls? (Have you ever figured aprox amounts of feed per fish?... Aren't Tilapia a vegetarian/plant eating fish?) Wow. The 15,000 gallon tank is larger than my pond, and I can swim in mine!

  • @armanflint

My experience with Tilapia is that they are omnivores

The glass in the 15,000 is 3/4"

THe glass in the 52,000 is 1"

They grew up originally in a 180g tank then were placed in the 15k when they were too big for it.

  • @arapaimagg Thanks for the reply! I was contemplating an aquaponics system in an 8' x 8' x 4' pool, but wanted the fish to be able to scale-up. I had no idea that Tilapia can get up to 20" (I'm going to need a bigger pool!) That is one of the coolest game fish tanks I have seen next to Marine Land and Sea World in California. The huge chunks of driftwood are a super cool!!! And the fish look super healthy!!! Kudos and thanks again for the reply!

  • lololololol can you even tell one word the commentator says?

  • What an idiot. Why doesn't he get somebody to help him hold down the fish RIGHT AWAY when he's measuring them....pretty cool set up tho!

  • MONSTER!!!!

  • I thought my 13 " pleco was a handful.............impressive stuff

  • Amazing. How long does it take for the red tailed gold to reach 28-inch ?

  • I got that one in 1999 So about 11 years

  • @arapaimagg don't the fish attack the people cleaning the tank and stuff?! You should really make a vid on this tanks maintenance... Maybe after watching that I might give up the idea of building me one of these..!!! :P

  • @shouvikgr No the fish will move away from people.

Although It is best not to put an arm or leg in if the arapaimas are close by but once the legs are in they realize it is not food and they will generally stay a few feet away.

  • @arapaimagg This is really cool! And whats even cooler is those trolls probably don't tell u to get a bigger tank for your fish either... Ur tank is my future tanks role model.. Just hope I can learn enough by the time I build me one of those... :)

  • I love your video's! Thanks for sharing :)

  • Thanks Mo sorry I couldn't make it to Milwaukee to you at the ACA.

  • Amazing stuff Mike. Thanks for sharing. You don't often see folks moving a fish from a "small" 15,000 gallon tank to a BIG "52,000" gallon tank. More room to grow.

    LOL

  • True monster fish!!!!
