Thanks for a great review - I am still deliberating between the 2241 and 2242, but at least now I know that I don't want the 2271. I really appreciate it.
I know that the sapphire crystal is tougher and doesnt scratch as easily, but i also thought it was supposed to prevent glare and reflection.. but it didnt seem like it in this video lol. Anyway, i ordered the black version of the american skyhawk stainless steel for $350, usd, and i was wondering, would it be worth it to shell out the money i saved to get citizen to retrofit the watch with a duratec coating and sapphire crystal? and im not sure if you can answer this, but is duratec glossy? thx
I did, and i don't regret it one bit. you know you've got the diamond like coating, the crystal glass, and the double clasp (not to mention the whole body and bracelet is titanium, so its lighter than its cheaper brother).
but you're right, the internals are exactly the same (except the face reads TITANIUM)... but they're the same watch, just one is slightly more rugged.
I like the watch. Would want to see your video if it didn't seem as if the watch / your hands were moving that much. I couldn't focus on the watch dial.
This watch rules, only the bezel feels somewhat loose to me, I can pull it away from the watch by about 1/4th of a milimeter and push it back, seems strange to me but it's not exactly a problem or anything.
I love these series.
Anyone know when they will release the next version? Very excited to know what new feats they will be putting in.
They ONLY make this in Japan, for the Asian market - so you won't find this on the shelves of an ordinary Citizen shop anywhere else in the world.
I ordered mine through a contact who lives there, and after much negotiating - i paid just over $800. (that included 3 day shipping too)
I have bumped and scraped my watch so many times, yet not a single scratch on either the body, or crystal - i prefer to wear this than my breitlings and rolex!!
hey, the JY0010-50E doesn't have a sapphire crystal nor the Duratek coating. but it has a full titanium (like this one) body - so they're both very light for their size. its just the mineral glass in the 50E is more likely to get scratches
Nice video. Thanks for posing. I am contemplating buying this watch but can you tell me if this is the same as model number JY0010-50E with regards to the Tatanium coating and sapphire glass????

Very good review. I wonder how much you paid for this since I dont see it in Amazon...only the JY0010-50E, which is marked down to $ 637. Thanks

I have the JY0020-64E non titanium, but I am pretty sure I have got a sapphire glass. (It also says sapphire on the back of the watch)
