  • Why so fast?

  • Bravo!!

  • Thank you so much!! EXCELLENT!!! :DDDD

  • The best performance of 1th and 4th dance, which I have seen on youtube. Very impressive, with good phrasing and not mechanic. Really talented young pianist.

  • 12??

  • Wouaaa !!! C'est vraiment Bartok !!! Thank's :))

  • man i love bartok.

  • You play very well! The only thing I'd say is not to move your upper body. You did great. I'd also recommend the piano school Opus.119. They're also on youtube. I go there.

  • @pianomasterbrandon1 Some Pianists use the movement of the upper body for expression purposes. As long it does not infringe on the technical performance and it help her expression and interpretation there is nothing wrong with it. And this lady is quite a talented pianist. Cheers.

  • well done

    wat grade is this?

  • beatifullll a little bit fast...and the actitud doesn`t help you very mcuh but....i mean...who the hell is me to judge....well done lady..

  • So much springier and dancier than other renditions. Such a feel for the music of Eastern Europe.

Marry me when you come of age, Ms. Lu!

  • gr8 performance

  • Beautifully played!!Awesome!!!!!!

  • Nice!

  • nicee piano playing (:

maybe cutting off the hunchback ?

  • Get over it! Many professionals have idiosyncratic form, posture, style. What's important is the artistry and sound...after it all it is music!

  • If Bela Bartok could hear her! She is absolutely brilliant!!! :)

  • @ShiaoMeiii she is expressive

  • They are no domain where asian are not excellent?

  • Whats up with the piano ?

  • wow, good job!

  • sounds great :]

i just hope she doesnt hunch like that when not performing

  • lol ENCORE!!!

  • hunches a little too much

    it bothers me a lot

    but great playing!!

  • wow..so young n yet so musical..reminds me when i tried 2 play tiz song b4 n i was oredi age of 20..n all i got was scolded by my piano teacher haha...

  • sin duda...

La mejor interprete de estas danzas por el Youtube..

    *****

  • For a 12 year old, she's very expressive.

  • Her playing is beautiful, although I dislike her posture.

  • music is for the ears...I think she is pretty cute in her passionated posture.

  • wow, I am romanian, living in UK now, but I can tell you understand this music. Wonderful!

  • hunches more than just a bit..mostly thats what she does..

  • hunches over a bit doesnt she

  • I can't remember what grade was it but I played the first movement for a trinity grade exam. If I had played like that it would probably be a distinction! of course this doesn't sound like its played by a professional, but still technically its fine.

  • There is no "direction" or meaning to the sound now.. improving that will improve everything.

  • This is a 12 year old playing people, and the pedal work isn't the big problem. It's the voicing that needs work. Emotionally I would say for a 12 year old thats all there can really be. She hasn't even had any large life experiences, where is she suppose to pull these emotions from. Good Job and i am sure you will mature into amazing player.

  • Yes, i agree with dsouphi..compared to others 12 years old she seems quite mature for her age..we're adults, we cannot expect that much from a kid -i can see that she stays focused and technically she's on the wright track!Bravo!

  • sounds like a player piano

  • You will never know the true essence of this peice unless it was played by a Klingon.

  • I think she doesn't get this piece... to much pedal and no intrepretation. but technically is ok..

  • she really didnt capture the emotion or rawness of this piece... technically fine! but even in the last three movements it was rather robotic.

    magical piece though, genius/

  • too much pedal

  • It has nothing to do with Bartok

  • She's better, I ever was, but she plays without heart, she doesn't get it, I think. Technically it's OK.

  • DUDE!! THIS CHICKS IN MY AP BIO CLASS!!!...shes hella smart!

  • DUDE!!! THIS CHICKS IN MY AP BIO CLASS!!! shes hella smart...she kills the curve!

  • where' this posted

  • bad memories when my mom forced me to play all these instruments :(

  • Well said, a child must learn music if he likes, must not be forced. I was a child prodigy on church organ, know what you talk about. But.. at later age my classical preparation was quite useful to learn jazz and rock

  • Great

  • Magic.

  • Beautiful, but I have to say I like the violin version better, it just achieves a folksier feeling. Still beautiful though.

  • It's ok...I play this with my sister in a piano/cello duet, and it sounds (IMO) better that way.

  • Toca bien, pero hace mucho teatro, eso es feo de ver.

  • jadore ...

    jacques de paris

  • shes pretty good actually. but she doesnt really get the feeling of the romanian folk dances.

  • I agree...

  • same...i just didnt get that feel for it. shes plays very well though.

  • What's up with the quasimodo pose... but she's damn good!

  • for a dance, her phrasing is akward.

i thinkt his sound better played by orchestra, even tho it was written originally for piano.

  • I never heard a piano arrangement before. Good job though.

  • This is one piece that I play often and for contests and exams. I think you did pretty good overall, but the 3rd and 4th should be faster and you should reduce the number of pauses in your pieces.

  • superb :)

  • you know how to play obviously, but it seems like you dont understand the music. that it´s not the feeling of romanian folk dances.

  • dansez populare de 10 ani ... ia sa vad ce shtie fata sa faca ;))

  • what a terrible playing?

  • Good job! My favorite is Braul, and you playing that piece FANTASTIC!

    I loved to hear it!

  • I also played it last year.

  • nice my skool play before in lau pat sat

    cool

  • For a dance, her phrasing sure is weird and stuttery. I understand she's trying to put "emotion" into it, but it sounds like an outsider trying to recreate a spirit she doesn't understand. Maybe she should have listened to some Romanian folk music first.

  • great job. I think its way too fast, but that's just me.

  • The pianist is fine, but the song is ridiculously bad.

  • Dear "dennisPERLMAN", She has a personal style...you have a privat opinion, it's ok! ...but the metaphor is fals! Rock :) Nonsense!

  • Very nice. and Clean.

  • i can say that she plays great but she played this piece too fast really too fast.this peace is rumanian folk, not turkish folk or rock

  • i wish i wasnt so afraid to show emotion like u when playing it looks and sounds so great and thats saying something since i usually hate bartok lol

  • great performance!technicaly & sentimentaly wonderful

  • I must say that it is great. I don't understand why only one person left a comment, but it is awesome. Well done

  • Great! Love these dances, they're just great fun
