U acually have it backwords, in the first movie the charger IS a '70, and in f&f4 it too is a '70, but since we all saw it in piece's in doms garage they didnt have time to put it all back together so they used a '69 Charger with a different grill

true, thats the thing people dont realise, seeing as the only real difference is that the 1970 had a completely steel mesh grill/front bumper, yet the 69 had mesh on both sides and a gap in the middle where the bumper comes down and separates the two sides, just like with this one.
