  • Look, I like Oyama but...At 2:06 it is clear that the ice is alread broken. It was somehow cracked in the midle... :-/

  • that old man at the beginning cant do shit to anyone in a fight

  • @Hybridswimmer That's Mas Oyama, you dipshit. He could whip any of us.

  • oyama is a fake. hes smart. he started his own fighting style. but he did NOT fight a wild bull, he fought a tame one, twisted his head (which many people can do), and hit him with no footage of what happened next. hes not some secret superman. although he did beat alot of people in the past. did anyone notice bull didnt charge or anything?!

  • @khazal12 So the horns fell out it fell ?riiight and those bricks mas oyama broke are fake too? so you saying there is limitation what a human can do? even the fact back time in Greece fighter killed 500 pound lions with bare hands.

  • @hotpopcorncake 'fell out it fell' dunno what that means but its interesting how you call it a FACT that greek mythology is true. do you believe in the minotaur also, and that all the gods lived ontop of mount olympus, or is it just the 12 labours of heracles? but this is obviously fake. loadsof people can break bricks and ice blocks, they dont kill bulls though, unless the bulls are tame and arent attacking.

  • @khazal12 I'm not talking about myth ,even historian wrote fact about it, true fighters that killed in the arena ,still the way you talking sound like you putting limits to what a human can do. i guess you tired to take down a bull before so you would know internet warrior ?

i guess you kinda person that believe we still didn't landed in the moon.

  • @hotpopcorncake fighters killed in the arena. but not with their bare hands, unless you are talking about heracles.not all historians agree, and NO historian calls their studies fact because every historian worth mentioning knows that they can never be 100% sure unless they were there. im not saying i can take down a bull, or match oyama, but you can't be so blind to actually believe this is true.

  • @khazal12 So you honestly believe if person train hard he can't take on a bull? oh and that take on 100 men kumite also fought with couple of bulls and a bear. rip a heart of bull too.

Polydamas of Thessaly is like one wrestler from Greece that taken down a lion, you probably are going to tell me that the 300 spatan didn't exist at all.

  • @hotpopcorncake omg polydamas?! cmon man, that story is set on mount olympus dude. if its drawn on a vase or a frieze or written in a book/wall, doesnt make it fact. look at religion for example. do you believe everything in the bible simply because other people do. just because i havent been to japan doesnt mean people in japan are superhuman. ok i'll be openminded, maybe just maybe, someone can kill a bull with his bare hands or a lion. but mas oyama's exhibition was bull-shit and staged.

  • @khazal12 No i don't believe in the bible, but there is higher power out that created this earth tho. Well tell me why would in japan they would make movies and cartoon about Mas oyama? just as like in US talk about Muhammad ali ,dude if you would research and back up it in what you saying that's something different..

but if you assuming that leads you no where.

  • @hotpopcorncake just like you are assuming that there is a higher power because the human mind cannot comprehend otherwise? also if you want to search i guy named Jon Bluming. Mas Oyama's most famous european student, he said that mas oyama's bullfighting was staged and it was to create propaganda and to show how strong kyokushin karate was, and he didnt show it to westerners because of how fake it looked.

  • @hotpopcorncake i'd rather be a cynic than gullible. and furthermore, there is a limit on each generation of human being. we are slowly developing over centuries but nobody is superhuman so yes there is a limit. for now. for example the 100m sprint. a century ago nobody had broken 10 seconds. now usain bolt got it down to 9.58. so yes we are developing but each generation does have a limit, so shut up with the keyboard warrior crap, cos im just trying to be logical

  • @khazal12 Ok you have no facts by way just watching two vids, what the logic in that when you just making assumption . have you been to japan at all? or done research? nope just person that talking out of his ass.

  • need to work on ur flexablity a little bit geezer

  • if you pause the clip on 2:05 and look closely you will see the white clue line where Oyama breaks the ice =))

    but still awesome video

  • OSU man i'v never seen so many people taking shit with having any knowledge. pay respect to a man that devoted hs whole life to the perfect weapon the human body.

after 1000 days of training one may become a begginer and only after 10 000 days of training one may become an expert . Masutatsu Oyama

  • after 100 000 days of traning one may become MASTER...

  • OSU well spoken!

  • @cdsbob "I have not permitted myself to be ignorant of any martial art that exists. Why? Such ignorance is a disgrace to someone who follows the path of the martial arts."

    ~Mas Oyama~

  • What part of the film is taken from?

Impressive kata by Oyama and the black belts, only thought hours of training can make a kata that smooth.

  • do you really think that I have never saw an ufc fight ? ahahah...still karate is far from being useless...if u talk in this way it means that you don't have any experience of real fighting, so please do not talk about something that u don't know properly ^^

  • blah blah blah

  • Come on, let's be fair. This is the man who had hundreds of fights against Japan's BEST! He won them all!!! Perhaps you will say that the many bulls he fought and killed were fake too???

  • The bulls were all ready to be slaughtered ya stupid cunt. Oyama beat allcomers in Japan, ALL!! Could your rancheros do that???? Daft bastard. GIRUY!

  • check K-1, andy hug and francisco filho...then stfu n000b

  • link12321: Chuck Lidell, Georges St. Pierre, Gomi Takanori, Bas Rutten, Peter Graham , and Andy Hug are some of the few pro fighters that use kyokushin karate. Also, the very famous Semmy Shilt does seidokaikan karate. There are more!

  • @rotarymenace Chuck Lidell comes from Kempo Karate and didnt really used that in his fights, it was more brawling. Bas Rutten didnt use Karate in his fights, he used kickboxing and groundgame!

  • @rotarymenace and GSP only wears a gi and a tattoo, but in his fights I dont see any Karate either.

  • owned

  • fcuk your right it is pre cut, this hollywood actors i tell ya...

  • If you pause at 2:06 you can see that the ice is pre-cut or broken. Especially the third the block.

  • ha ha 2.06 > theres cracks on the ic... what a way to cheat ha ha

  • pause the video at 2.06 =D

  • Oyama sensei really looked impressive but the true martial arts don't need to make an impression on anybody

  • Mas Oyama was NOT even Japanese! He was a fat South Korean named Yong Choi!

  • you have to remember that by the time this movie was made he was already in his early 60's....

  • Check out badass mas oyama... fat???? No way....AWESOME power. Realistic BUDO karate!!!

  • ryu is based on kenji yamasaki the 1995 kyokushin world champion.

  • LOL nappyheaded, my thaughts exactly. Mas Oyama is what proabably inspire capom to create AKUMA. But Mas's real name is Choi Yeong-eui aka choi bae dal.

  • Akuma is based on Mas Oyama? That's pretty cool. I'd like to know where you found that tidbit. Weird how such an evil guy is modeled after someone like Mas Oyama. That ice block chop was ridiculous though, the bottom blocks were pre-cut.

  • Afraid not. Was at a Kyokushin display in New Zealand and watched a similar display and the setup. The gap in ice blocks is the trick to how mnay were broken. Good old gravity helping kinetic energy.

  • Well good ol gravity, sure, but you still need a lot of force to break through them. A mere white belt can't come close to doing that. It's quite impressive to watch.

  • I'm not talking about the gaps. I understand there are separate, individual ice blocks. I'm talking about the white cracks in the middle of the blocks, 2:06-2:07. And in no way am I bashing or doubting Mas Oyama. And yes, I have seen people break ice blocks before.

  • yeh it looks like they were and they break right along the lines you can see on the quick closeup

  • in a demo u cannot cut any of the ice coz people can see the flaw, its done with technique, just like stone cut, chopping stones, see the book "this is karate " by mas oyama, they feature techniques on breaking ice, brick, wood, stone etc.

  • Huh.. I have that book, how'd u get a hold?

  • I shit you not. Ryu is based on someone else in Kyokushin I forgot who. I'll look it up later if you want.

  • That is so gay...

  • dude Akuma is based on this guy.
