If the SHTF, do you think my debt will matter? I often wonder why I worry about it in the first place. My credit card debt is my fault, but something pisses me off about the system, enough so that I wonder what would happen if I stop paying my CC bills forever. What can they do? besides my credit being ruined. I don't want to live on credit anymore anyway. What are suggestions people have for me.

You can't rely primarily on the stock market. The Federal Reserve props up the stock market and the game is rigged. It's not a good indicator, they knock down the market from time to time to cash in their stocks by playing the inside...

We adopted children who were starving to death when they came into our home. They have never, even after 10 years, forgotten that feeling. They feel crazy, out of control when there is not food available. Starvation creates a new animal instinct in a person that NEVER goes away, even after they have food.

Where do you recommend having on an off site stash of food? Like in renting a storage garage? A lot of people can't tell when others are trying to do them a big favor. Keep up what you are doing. A lot of us see the signs clearly, we are the generation that will see the coming of the Lord Jesus!
@figtreeparable I suggest anywhere that is hidden. It's more of a multiple "fall back" stashes than one particular place. Storage sheds, old junked cars on the back of your property, in the middle of the woods dug underground. etc.

Why do people say DEFLATION? Deflation is a DECREASE in price levels resulting in an increase of the value of money. I don't know if anybody has checked, but the dollar has lost over 90% of it's value in the last 7 decades and we have been experiencing inflation for all those decades. Over the last few months the prices at Krogers has gone up anywhere from 5 to 25%. Deflation???
My facts on the pototo famine may be wrong. That may have been during the Great Depression that the farmers grownd the crops back into the earth before taking huge losses. But I know what I heard on the news about the grain problems in N TX.
that they NEVER change the rules in the middle of a harvest. Also, N TX wheat is the first harvest of the more northern states in the gain belt. The cost to store that wheat grows every day that it is stored. A strange thing happened with the wheat crops of N Texas couple a weeks ago. This was a record crop because of all the rain, so its harvested and farm coops deliver it to the elevators. Elevators fill up & load boxcars. Then right in the middle of the harvest, the rules of the game are changed and (whoever) buys it for export raises the required protein level to 12%. All the grain grown this yr was at 11.2%, so grain elevators and box cars stand loaded going nowhere??? Elevator owner says:

Hyperinflation isn't going to happen quickly. You're advising people to jump ship too quickly. It's going to be deflation, where debt is going to be a killer. When the NEXT BIG STIMULAS hits then inflation will jump, and then the following stimulus will result in hyperinflation. Stay in cash, let the dollars power go higher as stocks sell off and when the government announces its next big stimulus...THEN BUY GOLD AND SILVER.

Outstanding video. We're living in the midst of a monetary ponzi scheme. It will fail. There will be another Great Depression. HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF!
The $878 billion stimulus saved many states, cities and towns from making layoffs and cutting back on services. Defaults on municipal bonds are coming. Layoffs of government workers will spill over into the private sector causing a deflationary spiral with massive unemployment and lawlessness. The federal government may have to take control of food manufacturing and distribution during this crash. Cities will burn. A World War will require 18 to 35 years olds to join the military.
I have little means to begin with. For the last 4 years I've been teaching myself how to garden. It takes less than a day for a supermarket to be stripped bare before a hurricane here in S. Florida. And that's just a hurricane. That's right, I said that, hurricanes are mostly a nuisance. I'll take a Cat5 over an economic collapse without a thought.
The only predictable factor is PREPARATION. I think we have a little more time than 2 weeks..There will be a few more shock waves to come. September has always been a good crisis month.

Your silver as a tangible metal becomes very valuable. Potentially if the dollar is near worthless (let's just say) your silver could go to $20k an ounce. Sell off 5 silver coins and you are done.
Really if you have anything valuable you will be able to pay stuff off quick.

I've seen ovens built out of cardboard boxes, water filters from sand and 2 free buckets, toilets made from rubber maid tubs... There are so many things you can prep for without spending a cent. using closet doors/bathroom doors to board up the windows and getting some extra long wood screws to bolt them things on good! short on water...for 1 month h2o supply for me hubby and 2 dogs is 330gallons per month, just h20 cooking dish cleaning and one 5gallon toilet flush per day and 1 gallon to wash laundry and take a birdbath each day..no h2o for showers or garden, with a gutter direct rain flow to the drums, but we have no drums...

What happens is that illegal aliens are coming into America by the millions each year.
They need to be happy. They need free dental, medical, food, housing, transportation, etc.
You work hard. You pay taxes more and more and they get your money. This is because you need to support their happy relaxed life of having many babies.

Why do people say DEFLATION? Deflation is a DECREASE in price levels resulting in an increase of the value of money. I don't know if anybody has checked, but the dollar has lost over 90% of it's value in the last 7 decades and we have been experiencing inflation for all those decades. Over the last few months the prices at Krogers has gone up anywhere from 5 to 25%. Deflation???

that they NEVER change the rules in the middle of a harvest. Also, N TX wheat is the first harvest of the more northern states in the gain belt. The cost to store that wheat grows every day that it is stored. Wonder if this is some kind of grand price manipulation or if they're just going to dump it and let it rot like during the potato famine in Ireland where they ground the crops back into the land before selling it cheap. Also, bill in congress to farm insurance. Strange food developments.

A strange thing happened with the wheat crops of N Texas couple a weeks ago. This was a record crop because of all the rain, so its harvested and farm coops deliver it to the elevators. Elevators fill up & load boxcars. Then right in the middle of the harvest, the rules of the game are changed and (whoever) buys it for export raises the required protein level to 12%. All the grain grown this yr was at 11.2%, so grain elevators and box cars stand loaded going nowhere??? Elevator owner says:

Hyperinflation isn't going to happen quickly. You're advising people to jump ship too quickly. It's going to be deflation, where debt is going to be a killer. When the NEXT BIG STIMULAS hits then inflation will jump, and then the following stimulus will result in hyperinflation. Stay in cash, let the dollars power go higher as stocks sell off and when the government announces its next big stimulus...THEN BUY GOLD AND SILVER.

Your silver as a tangible metal becomes very valuable. Potentially if the dollar is near worthless (let's just say) your silver could go to $20k an ounce. Sell off 5 silver coins and you are done.
Really if you have anything valuable you will be able to pay stuff off quick.

@laurieannek When you don't have anything to get ready, its always best to look at what you have and figure out how each thing can be used during a collapse. I've seen ovens built out of cardboard boxes, water filters from sand and 2 free buckets, toilets made from rubber maid tubs... There are so many things you can prep for without spending a cent. I don't think the economy will ever just evaporate and crash like it should. Because the Fed will just continually print and stimulate the markets to give the appearance that our debt crisis is not so severe. So it will be a slow dissolve most likely. If everyone cashed out of their stocks it would implode too quickly for them.

using closet doors/bathroom doors to board up the windows and getting some extra long wood screws to bolt them things on good! short on water...for 1 month h2o supply for me hubby and 2 dogs is 330gallons per month, just h20 cooking dish cleaning and one 5gallon toilet flush per day and 1 gallon to wash laundry and take a birdbath each day..no h2o for showers or garden, with a gutter direct rain flow to the drums, but we have no drums...

@1x93cm -- Ahhh Mr. Celente. I need to catch up on what he's been saying. He's definitely one to watch and pay attention to. I am finding Lindsey Williams "prediction" that gas will not rise significantly in price for two years (after coming down from that summer of $4+ gas) to be, so far, true. He seems to have credible sources for his info.

I think weve got A year or 2 yet. The financial crisis is over & were just entering the debt crisis. Its starting in Greece & will take some time before it gets to us. After that comes the currency crisis then the next great depression. Theres still time left, just buy what you need while were still seeing lower prices. Check out Ron Pauls interview on Fox news yesterday
