  • Creatine works. Some people it works better for than others, but it does work. If you're looking for a natural way to boost your strength a little bit and help with those gains, creatine is much better than natural test boosters or most of that other crap. Creatine + Protein are a staple for the natural lifter.

  • Creatine gives you a fuller and thicker look. When taking daily creatine you should be consuming no less than one gallon and no more than 2 gallons of water per day. With all that water consumption it makes some people look bloated, especially in the face.

  • You don't need creatine. I am gaining muscle mass fine without it, but it definitely helps, but just watch your health to make sure you are not getting any health issues from it.

  • @lukaboy83ldn Yeah, but that's no replacement for sound science. I know plenty of bodybuilders, and I know that many of the pros use creatine will no serious side effects. So, then it becomes your word versus mine.

    The scientific literature does not - I repeat - does not support the idea that creatine is bad for you. Take a look at the European Journal of Nutrition or the Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology journals for articles on this for instance. Smart creatine use has no ill effects

  • After I healed several months later I decided to do the 5g a day dose instead.I also learned to drink tons of water.All it did was make me go to toilet for almost every drink.I didnt feel substantial increase in strength, although it seemed to make my biceps look fuller n rounder.Nonetheless I thought the price n side effects arent worth it for the small increase in strength n mass if there are even any.

  • I hated creatine n couldnt understand the hype.I took creatine monohydrate on two different cycles.One was on the recommended dosage on the label(I didnt know better).Even though I tried to drink enough water I eventually came down with a diarrhea.No muscle building or strength increase.

  • @kriegpaolo did you eat enough (=more than you need)?Without enough food,there is no strength/muscle gain.Those guys eat 5000 calories(of healthy foods)and 2g of protein/lb of body weight,and fats are essential too.When you see them contest,they "cut"+low carbs,cardio for fat loss and finally,they dehydrate.All that while not loosing the muscle...

    I bet if you write down everyth. you eat and calculate out how much prot./calories,you're in for a surprise...

  • @kzam717 no, I was referring to creatine's effect. From personal experience it doesnt give anything close to the effect they promote it does. Last time I tried it, it "might" have made my biceps look slightly rounder and fuller. But then again, that could just be the arms being subjected to a consistent intense routine. So in essence,there is possibility that my biceps looked the way it was because of my training and diet n not because of creatine.My conclusion is that creatine is overhyped crap

  • @kzam717 when I mentioned "no muscle building or strength increase" I was referring to "not anything substantial worth taking creatine for".Listening and reading to all the hype about creatine I was sold that it would really give me a big boost. I was wrong n the only thing I got was diarrhea on first cycle (cycle based on what the label says, although its true that maybe I should've drank more water at the time) and having to go pee A LOT on second cycle (5g perday,lots of water).Not worth it.

    there are studies done w/ fat ppl getting the stomach red. surgery (no exercise),the ones on creat. lost sign.less muscle during recovery.Also was beneficial for old ppl's memory f(x).It didn't work for you st doesn't mean it doesn't work.Eating red meat eg doesn't work for me in hot climate....

  • @kzam717 there are differing beliefs as to how to "cycle" creatine ofc, but generally there is no incentive to load up first n maintain small doses.In any case I've tried both ways.I've read studies about creatine n I really hope it worked.Problem is it didnt n I know Im not the only one to have tried creatine n not had any substantial effect.Supposing that creatine made my biceps look slightly fuller n rounder.Still doesnt justify the money n having to piss for every sip of drink I take.

  • @kriegpaolo I'm with you on the loading part not being necessary(=more money for the companies).One thing I remember reading was that pre-workout was useless,as its more a long term acting thing and takes a while to get to the muscle(in contrast to food).More for restoring ATP after and helping recovery.There was also something about caffeine rendering it effectless/counteracting,so if you had it before WO w/ a couple cups of coffee,that could have been it too.

  • @kzam717 yeah,I've tried taking it pre workout n taking it just about any time of the day.I dont drink coffee lol,because to me caffeine only has effect if its a really black coffee and it has to be a couple of cups.So....no.I didnt find creatine to have any substantial effect.I'll stick to protein powders, and thats even only if I dont meet my daily requirements through food.

    Don't take it for more than 8 weeks.

    Creatine will increase reps and strength.

    Creatine effects kidneys after prolong usage.

    If your a skinny guy, take weight gain. Creatine can also help.

    Drink alot of water too

  • @MrRajguitar absolutely not, and it is too generalistic: if you're in an age that sees you still growing, you would have gained weight in any case, BTW in 2 months is simply not human, keep in check you Body mass index: make sure is not retain of water and fat that you bulked up mostly. it is a common mistake that beginners make, by looking only the weight on their balances, and not taking under control what the extra weight is made of.

    if you never trained you will grow normally in any case.

  • If is fat what you seek, eat a lot of junk food and you are sure you can.

    if is muscle, well,mibe if you use steroids, but naturally in two months you can't gain 10 Lbs of lean muscle mass, if you posess great genetics maybe you cangain them in one year.

  • @laughykassie Proper nutrition, hard training. There is no magical supplement or any magic pill that will help you gain, apart from actual anabolic steroids. EAT RIGHT, TRAIN RIGHT.

  • @laughykassie Creatine doesnt help you to gain weight. It makes you work harder, at least what i feel i have been increasing my bench by a great 5-10kgs and i can workout longer. I do only use Creatine, Whey80 and BCAA. You could easily put on 10lbs in 2 months with creatine, proper nutrition and crazy lifting.

  • @laughykassie creatine aint doing that. if youre a girl your testosterone levels are way lower than males cos thats just the way it is. the more test, the more muscle. so if you want those results, get on some steroids. but i dont suggest you do that. just eat more, or use a weightgainer, and train very hard.

    u need to read up on it mate. creatine if used correctly is good for u and your heart . if over used it can be bad for your liver but that is why u have a 2 week rest after use of it for about 3 weeks. if u take creatine and eat healthy food u will see results, if u take creatine without a good diet u wont.

    Pre-workout is what most creatine products say but i take it both pr-workout and postworkout mixed with my protein shake

  • you dont NEED creatine it helps but you can still get great results just with diet and exercise without creatine but it dose help
