Come on Guy, you should had known better than to believe what you were eating was the real deal. These "pupusas" lacked every single right ingredient that goes into making them, rather relying on ingredients typical of the Southwestern United States to create some sort of gordita hybrid. Heck, they don't even own a comal.

It isn't a fail. People have the perogotive to alter and be creative in recipes. How boring would it be if food tasted the same. So he made his own recipe... so what. He co-owns a restaurant. People are eating there. Apparently SOMETHING he is doing is far from a "fail". It is ridiculous that people get on here are talk trash, and yet they sound uncreative and boring. So he doesn't make Pupusas like your mama, or abuelita. What's your point??? Everything does not have to be the same.

oh man. that dude is NOT salvadorean! Thats the way you're NOT supposed to do it. Thats an easy way to make your pupusa break apart during the cooking process. A tortilla press is not needed, nor do you require something to squish down the dough. The filling is creative, although the filling is NOT traditional at all. A shame.

Hey guy in the video you say you never had pupusas you still haven't. This guy is so mexican and like the some person said here this is an insult. And a really salvadoren will use their hands to make the masa and fill the pupusas not some bullshit contraption he used! I think guy need to find another place that makes real pupusas. I recommend the coladito in Miami SW 8th St. between 13 and 14 ave. they been there since the 80's and food is cooked by Salvadorenes

I guess to get the correct result you need to go to a real Salvadorean restaurant and make sure you get real salvadorean pupusera to do it. I have never seen so much crap added on a pupusa. The people have spoken. These so called "pupusas" are a travesty. None of the ingredients used in this video are used when it comes to making traditional Salvadoran pupusas. Come on Guy, you should had known better than to believe what you were eating was the real deal. These "pupusas" lacked every single right ingredient that goes into making them, rather relying on ingredients typical of the Southwestern United States to create some sort of gordita hybrid. Heck, they don't even own a comal.
