I think Team Dark would've been cooler with E-102 instead of E-123. I know it's not canon but Gamma was an awesome character and I wish they'd bring him back sometime. But hey at least Big returned!!

I agree with you on the gameplay style, Sonic heroes was a great concept and it was fun to be able to switch between the characters at any time, though unfortunately I didn't enjoy the game that much because it was glitchtastic, repetitive and the dialogue was badly written, with the in-game speaking I really wouldn't mind if they weren't stating the freaking obvious and giving hints when there are are actual signposts or the question mark posts could be used.

@FunWithAshura Heroes was my first Sonic game in a sense. I watched my mom play Sonic 2 on the Genesis when I was like 5 but I don't remember it. Played a demo of Heroes in Best Buy at 13, got addicted. And here we are today.
@TehBacon567 The flow of the PS2 version was extremely sluggish, compared to the GC or X-Box. Also, glitches were much more frequent and the graphics were just plain ugly. I'll stick with the other two, thank you very much -___-

I love this game to death, more so than Adventure. (Go ahead. Shoot me.) Only thing I hate about this game is the Chaotix extra missions, and the physics. In special stages when I'm boosting I sometimes completely stop, all because I was too far to the right on a sharp turn. There are 2 missions that require you not to be caught by enemies... in the levels with the most amount of enemies.
The reason why I kinda dislike this game is because you have to play through every single level 4 times! And the levels themselves seem quite long to me.

I dislike it because I thought they did FAR TOO LITTLE with the concept. The most you can ever really do is switch to tails and fly through a ring to take a VERY small shortcut or grab a ring box. I would have loved to see full blown branching paths, much more diversity between the characters (and teams), and a LOT less linearity.

Grew up with this game, yeah, I said it, I'm a younger Sonic fan. However, to be honest, SA2 is another one I grew up with and remains my favorite in the series, followed by S3&K and This game.

Yay my least favorite Sonic game its not bad (like Sonic 2006) but its got so many little annoyances that eventually (for me at least) it just became too annoying to play (didn't stop me from 100%-ing it though).
This game doesn't look bad, I honestly don't understand why people would hate this game... although I have to admit that Tails's Voice Acter could've done a better job.
To me, this looks to be like a pretty decent Sonic Game with an interesting Gimmick.
The Characters talking during levels thing... I guess CAN be annoying... but I could care less about that.
My feelings about this game will remain ambiguous till the end of the LP when I get a feel for it. (Doesn't mean I won't talk about it)

I love this game, it was the first Sonic game I played and completed. Up until this game I was mainly an Nintendo fan but this game made me outreach to other companies. Ironically I played this game on the Gamecube.
Clement, I don't see a point in doing full playthroughs of each team. Outside of Team Blasts and minor changes in Power attacks, they all play the same. It's more efficient to play as one level with them and to just show off their cutscenes.
TBH, it might say something about the way I am due to the fact that I like this game, and I've only played the PS2 version. Granted, I never got all the Chaos Emeralds, and thus never played the last story.
Personally, since I've never seen it, I'd love for you to show that off.
Sonic Heroes is my Megaman X6 of the Sonic series. Its that bad. The team gimmick is annoying and handled far better in Advance 3, and 70% of the game is grinding on rails or fighting hordes of enemies. I really can't see how people say they love this game.
@HeroMystic I'm not sure why we like it. I like it because it was still fast, the switching different characters with their own playstyle was fine and the level design of the game didn't seem that bad and was fun to me. Besides, this was the last until Sonic 06 was where we get to play as several characters. But what I loved most, Metal Sonic.
The team switch involves pressing buttons thats all.
But i kinda have something against your opinion that Advance 3 handled it better becuz Advance 3 all out changes the gameplay and you have to go into the hub to change characters were as here in Heroes you just press Y or X
@megamanxrulez261 I don't like Advance 3 either. It's pretty much the worst of the handheld games, but it did handle the team gimmick better than Heroes. First you can make your own team, not premade like how it was in Heroes, and as such it was a implementation that enhanced gameplay, not like in Heroes where it was appetizer, main course, and the desert. It wore itself out very fast.
I liked all the talking in sonic heroes, sure some can be a bit repetitive but most of them are good, its a lot damn better to have character talking to each other then just the generic "Ugh" "Hia" "Ouch" "Hmh" "Ha!" you know what i mean
PS2 version also has a lot of sound effects cut out. GameCube version doesn't, and is totally the best of the three.

Clement, there actually IS a Sound Test. It's in the Extras menu, and you have to gradually unlock it.
Also, any chance of an Extra vid showing off the MP? (which requires all emblems to completely unlock...) Hard mode?

Grew up with this game, yeah, I said it, I'm a younger Sonic fan. However, to be honest, SA2 is another one I grew up with and remains my favorite in the series, followed by S3&K and This game.

i luved this game when i played this it was the PS2 version yes the PS2 version but i was three! and it was the very 1st game i played and i liked big but i liked amy best and cream seceond and big third sometimes i played as team dark and team sonic sometimes :D

This game doesn't look bad, I honestly don't understand why people would hate this game... although I have to admit that Tails's Voice Acter could've done a better job.
To me, this looks to be like a pretty decent Sonic Game with an interesting Gimmick.
The Characters talking during levels thing... I guess CAN be annoying... but I could care less about that.
My feelings about this game will remain ambiguous till the end of the LP when I get a feel for it. (Doesn't mean I won't talk about it)

I never said it was a bad game (and frankly I think it looks pretty good starting out right now).
Plus, I seriously don't even have the right to say whether it is a good or bad game as a 'whole' since:
1) I don't own the game.
2) I have never seen the game in action before. (and...)
3) I have to give any game that haven't played and/or watched the benefit of the doubt (on the positive scale).
I merely said that this game doesn't look bad (Meaning that it looks pretty good).

When I said 'it doesn't look bad', I meant that it looked O.K. starting out (I really meant nothing bad of that).
I even mentioned that I found the gimmick of the game to be interesting (which is a good thing).
But since I don't own the game, I can't give too high of praise nor criticism (which, really I've given very little to none) until I see the whole LP of the game.
Anyway, hope this clarifies things and please read the entire comment (Certain you did) before you reply.

I love this game, it was the first Sonic game I played and completed. Up until this game I was mainly an Nintendo fan but this game made me outreach to other companies. Ironically I played this game on the Gamecube.

Clement, I don't see a point in doing full playthroughs of each team. Outside of Team Blasts and minor changes in Power attacks, they all play the same. It's more efficient to play as one level with them and to just show off their cutscenes.

TBH, it might say something about the way I am due to the fact that I like this game, and I've only played the PS2 version. Granted, I never got all the Chaos Emeralds, and thus never played the last story.
Personally, since I've never seen it, I'd love for you to show that off.

Sonic Heroes is my Megaman X6 of the Sonic series. Its that bad. The team gimmick is annoying and handled far better in Advance 3, and 70% of the game is grinding on rails or fighting hordes of enemies. I really can't see how people say they love this game.

@HeroMystic I'm not sure why we like it. I like it because it was still fast, the switching different characters with their own playstyle was fine and the level design of the game didn't seem that bad and was fun to me. Besides, this was the last until Sonic 06 was where we get to play as several characters. But what I loved most, Metal Sonic.
I want Metal Sonic back and wanting revenge!

The team switch involves pressing buttons thats all.
But i kinda have something against your opinion that Advance 3 handled it better becuz Advance 3 all out changes the gameplay and you have to go into the hub to change characters were as here in Heroes you just press Y or X

@megamanxrulez261 I don't like Advance 3 either. It's pretty much the worst of the handheld games, but it did handle the team gimmick better than Heroes. First you can make your own team, not premade like how it was in Heroes, and as such it was a implementation that enhanced gameplay, not like in Heroes where it was appetizer, main course, and the desert. It wore itself out very fast.

I liked all the talking in sonic heroes, sure some can be a bit repetitive but most of them are good, its a lot damn better to have character talking to each other then just the generic "Ugh" "Hia" "Ouch" "Hmh" "Ha!" you know what i mean

Only good thing about PS2 version is that you can change the voice acting English-> Japanese. And that's it.
