It's pretty clear the Clemson fan didn't do anything wrong. It's physics 101.
WF player is 7'1 200+lbs
Clem Fan is 5'8 160lbs.
The Clemson fan's feet are off the ground, whereas the WF player's feet are firmly on the ground. You need leverage to throw someone.
The WF player lifts to get up with the Clemson student and falls back for some reason.
The real question is why did the WF player fall back? To get a technical foul or did he trip?
Either way, it wasn't the Clemson fan's fault.

LOL, you wish. I have degrees from 2 of the 4 Tobacco Road ACC schools, and no, one of 'em ain't NCSU (which is the only ACC school with worse academic credentials than Clemson). Both my degrees come from top 25 national universities. Funny, Clemson is nowhere NEAR the top 25 (except in your head).
Sorry to disappoint YOU, but I used to work around that dungheap wide-spot-in-the-road town of Anderson near Clemson. I know for a fact that ~2,000 CU students live in off-campus trailers.

To me it looked like the player fell into the stands,fell on the student, tried to get up while holding on to student which brought the student up (could've been accidental Really can't tell with all the people in the way), and the student fell on the player. Still could've been purposeful. I would like to say i'm not a fan of sports and don't care about teams, just sayin what I saw so no one can go and post somethin about me favoring some team i've never heard of, let alone belong to either.

notice that the fan's legs fly into the air during the alleged tackle. Kind of hard to tackle a 7 footer when your feet are lifted off the ground. It is hard to tell what happens after that, but Mcfarland lifted the fan up around the 6-7 second mark by his waist. If anybody is accused of tackling somebody else... it would be Mcfarland tackling the fan. But no one was hurt. Shouldn't be a big deal. Wake Forest has a damn good basketbsll team by the way.

Watch the player grab the students legs. The student did what any wrestler would do in a situtation where he was double legged and couldn't sprawl, he hipped in and tossed the giant. The fall was an accident, but the player grabbing the students legs set it off. I am sure it was a misunderstanding on both parts, but the student was definitely defending himself.
