due to d lack of female k-rockers out there, i admire her n her husky voice. her performance is not dat bad too considering dat she an idol who revolves around k-pop mainstream but her ending part was a bit off timing. if she start screaming b4 d music ends and hold it till d end, then i think it will be better.

@noiseKICKin I thought so too. imo, I thought she was trying too hard to show off. Yesung performed right before her, you know, and all the judges loved his ending. I think she was trying to one-up him and it came off too obvious. I dunno, I thought her strutting across the stage (not too mention the last held note) was way too much for a singing competition and took away from the performance aspect. She's a little TOO aware of how good a singer she is and it irritates me at times.

@B2UTYistheB2ST Hnn. I suppose you can chalk it up to maintaining an idol image but really, as it's a singing competition, imo singing should be given emphasis. It's unfortunate too, how she thought to finish the song the way she did. Even if truthfully, she never meant to APPEAR as such a show off, the point of the matter is, she DID. Notice how none of the judges commented on her presentation or her finisher but instead, praised her singing voice then picked Yesung over her.

@B2UTYistheB2ST I don't want to sound biased against her. Honestly, I think she is extraordinarily talented. Her voice is really powerful and sounds fantastic singing rock ballads. Imo, she would have won this round against Yesung if she had held back on the presentation and that last note. One of the "secondary judges" in the backroom commented that she was less successful here than he had hoped because she added too many "flourishes".

So what if she showed off her voice, isn't that the point of having a talent, especially in a competition where you are suppose to perform by singing. But I can gurantee you if she was one of thse drop dead gorgeous gals, you would probably be the first to praise her. Applaud a new and rare talent in KPOP and gosh she is even young.
