This is not ironic. If he was to hang his self in public "for all to see" then it would be. People just love the word "irony" so much they jump at the chance to use it
he had been complaining about flu like symptoms.. it is a shame. he did dies young.. and many of his songs talked of death, but, I love teh documentary about him.. sad, good musician. peace dude.

Have you ever been to Stuyvesant Town? I f you had, you'd know this concert series is a lame attempt at rebranding and marketing to a youth culture. Jay Reatard will be playing for an audience of young urban professionals. If that's his kind of people then I guess there isn't a problem.
Stuy Town is, admittedly, one of the blandest parts of New York, but that doesn't take away from the music. And as to the audience, we'll be young and urban, sure, but I'm not sure "professional" enters into it anywhere.
maybe he is just playing a show dumbass. I have watched him in Memphis play in front of a bunch of crackheads. Maybe you would prefer for those to be his "kind of people"

Oh I get it. Gentrification is bad. Let's let areas stagnate in poverty instead. People in suburbs move out to further (cheaper) suburbs when the cost of living rises in their area. No one has a problem with this. How is gentrification any different?
