if you do manage to slightly burn dmt from using a generic glass pipe, i heard that instead of reaching the breakthrough or the actual "trip" you can experience something similar to 2ci/shrooms/acid while being conscious, and the experience is alot longer (1-2 hours)

If you have only even done it like that and thought you broke through think again chances are you had a mild experience. the melting point is quite low. it's okay the put a nice amount of it in the middle of a bowl, but you have to cover it well and don't hold the flame there. changa or a glass pipe is the best way without wasting any.
@russian1mafia if you "just get the pure DMT powder and sprinkle it on weed" without covering it with another layer, you WILL burn it. because smoking it in a bowl of herb WILL waste it anyway. but it is fun igniting the bowl quickly by heat without the flame touching and letting the cherry burn through slowly. ^^
