Ha! I live like right off Devore Rd. Shit is retarded. There were some lanes open and idiots only took the ones in the front. Took them nearly 2 hours to fill up when it took me 5 minutes.
Hahaha, good, I'm glad your house was foreclosed. It wasn't even your house. Maybe now you'll start working on your credit rating and get a real mortgage, loser.
Yo i live in adairsville, GA aint far away...We got same problem...But problem is kinda settling down...But the only thing now left is THERE IS NO SUPREME GAS?! My Mustang GT needs Supreme :(
It's called a bike, or your shoes. Duh. Live near work. Near your library, your school, your grocery store, your hardware store. If you don't, then move. Or maybe you should have in the first place. I feel sorry for these suburbanites in the video. Poor fools.
Actually a friend rides a bike and road from Acworth to Downtown ATlanta via bike and bus and took only 3 hours to get from point a to point be so yes riding a bike is viable as is public transport.
Also other friends have a Mercedes Deisel and have had no difficulty whatsoever, they are getting ready to go to biofuel on all their vehicles.
I AM SO HAPPY THEY HAVE NO GAS!! Thank your Democratic Party for not allowing drilling or refineries!! JUST DO WHAT OBAMA SAYS!! Put Air in your tires!!! You will get just as much Gas ,,,, Just like you went to a gas station!!!
i don't mean to be a prick, but carpooling and catching the bus is good. Also if you want gas really bad, park your car and stay home from work until it's resolved, if everybody did this for three days, they'd bring the gas you need. Though it's odd that military exercises to deal with crowd control and civil unrest start in Georgia today.
That's easier said than done when you live in a city like Atlanta where everything is so spread out. If I drove my bike everywhere it would take half a day just to make the journey to work, and I'm busy enough as it is. It's just not an option, but I wish it was.
Former Alpharetta resident breathing a sigh of relief! Even though we've been paying an average of $3.80 for the last 9 months, at least we don't have gas lines.
damn i just waited till sat. morning when the shit hit the fan at the Boggs RD./satelite QT on fri. night . not 93 cars like there but a good 60.I was surprised they had gas when i went at 9am
thanks for showing this. Looks as though they have something of an honor system going; no butting into the line, or at intersections, or even at the station. I would think the owner would have someone give admittance tickets however, as you drove in and no one seemed to care.
Demoscum? Are those the ones that have been suckling oil teets for so long that they've been reluctant to fund alternative sources of energy? I think what you are looking for is "Of course this would have been solved if we'd have voted smarter earlier.".
As our population increases, the number of drivers using up gas increases.
Sure we can drill offshore for new oil. And in 7 to 10 years, how many new drivers will be on the road? And 10 years after that? And 10 years after that?
As illustrated by the current problem in Atlanta, we can run out of gas AT ANY TIME.
WE NEED ALTERNATIVES. IMAGINE IF GAS SPIKES TO THE POINT ONLY THE RICH CAN AFFORD IT.
IF NO ALTERNATIVES EXIST - IT WILL BE CHAOS. PEOPLE WILL STEAL GAS FROM EACH OTHER.
If the shortage is real, all the more reason to pursue alternative fuels NOW as if it were the space race. We need more vehicles powered by electricity and natural gas.
Refusing to vote on legislation needed to address our energy crisis not only harms our national security interest by extending the duration of US dependency on foreign countries. But, it also risks marginalizing the US in terms of which countries will be the leaders in the alternative energies that replace oil dependency.
Just how mad would you be if you found out the shortage was artificially manipulated by the oil companies in order to get legislation for drilling passed by congress?
Do you really think Georgia is the only state that requires cleaner burning fuel?
haha, thanks! I stopped to talk to several of the people there (I should've filmed that too, oh well) and even they commented that I had the right idea...

Yea, but drilling will take a decade before you see oil. So there still won't be any gas.

The Southeast, the only region of the nation that has no oil refining or major gasoline storage capacity, pumps all of its gasoline in by pipeline.
Of course this would have been solved if it wasnt for Demoscum
