hey hi,,currently i am using dell inspiron 1564 lap with 3,320,15.6,dos.currently i am not facing any kind of problem with this lap,,but still now i want to sell it and want to purchase lenovo thinkpad sl 410.
Is my decison correct..........please help me urgently..
@simon1234simon LOL that was awesome! You must love the classic old school ThinkPads! Yes those were some nice units but newer breed also deserves a look.
@TechGearGuy hehe hope you get my rant as a joke as i intended it. but however what i've said is actually true. a former IBM and now Lenovo employee told me that special things that thinkpad had like 4:3 screen or no windows keys were things that IBM never wanted to change. when lenovo took over they wanted to bring them to more people and in someway they killed thinkpads beacouse they were always considered elite. also told me when lenovo took over prices went down so did the quality oh well
1. boot time - very slow even compared to other C2D units. Not impressive. 2. Thickness - "Very" thick compared to today's laptop standards. 3. Keyboard - just about the only good thing going 4. Build Quality - still a ThinkPad, wouldn't complain. 5. Trackpad - I prefer the textrued pad over the old pad. X200 would be a vastly different purchase since this guy has a larger screen. X would be a better buy if you don't mind a smaller LCD.
I went to my local BestBuy to look at the unit, and to be honest, I wasn't very impressed. I didn't even enjoy using their iconic keyboard (as much as people say).
Well, thanks for your honest input. It's very much appreciated. :)
Sorry the review left you wanting for more. What more would you like to see? I was experimenting where both the video and a written review on my site would compliment each other. I will cut one more video just for you if you would like. You tell me what you want to see and I will deliver. Cool?
Joel - my apologies! I went back and watched the video and realized it was cut short. Not sure what happened but the original review I cut was much longer than what came out on YouTube. Very sorry! Again - I will cover what you want to see if you would like. Just let me know anything you wanna know about this unit. Thanks!

I believe this is the model I recently saw. I'm a Mac person but If I were ever going to get a PC I would probably go in this direction.

Thank you for your professional response.
I would just like to know:
1) How's the boot time?
2) How thick is the unit (when closed)?
3) How's the keyboard (flex)?
4) How's the build quality?
5) How's the textured track-pad?
Also, would you recommend this laptop? As for a personal need, how would this laptop compare to the X200?
If you could answer these questions (written or recorded), I'd be most thankful.
Also, good job on your other reviews! :]
