  • The song is credited to "K. Thompson" and it's my belief that it is Kaye

    Thompson, the woman who created "Eloise". Considering Mathis's friendship

    with the composer Bart Howard (Nobody Knows/Where Do You Think You're Going/I'll Be Easy to Find, among others) it's likely that the young Johnny was

    introduced to Kaye. That's my theory, anyhow.

  • the young mathis is heavenly in my nighn borhood we worshiped jhonny becawse he was from our nighborhood the filmore district he came to his high school, he was about 22 years old he sang for us at groge washington high(he had graduated from there) in san francisco california. it was pure magic and this song is also magic.
