  • Comment removed

  • estoy enamorado de este cover

  • weak.

  • i didnt know that satriani could sing i just know he is one of the best guitarists to ever be born

  • joe satriani is not cool... his voice sucks.... this is such a lame cover...... sorry....

  • @codehendrix fuck u satriani is 10 times the guitarist youll ever be and 10 times the guitarist hendrix was even if hendrix was the 1st legend of electric guitar

  • SATRIANI... NO CANTES POR FAVOR!!! TOCA LA GUITARRA NO MAS XD

  • Great satriani and also great jules...

  • Satch Sounds Like Lou Reed Kinda...

  • awesome!!!

  • Satch is a little too white to be singing this. I was turned off right when he started singing. haha

  • really nice, though a bit oversung

  • thanks so much for posting this! I remember seeing it live on tv back in about 1990. I have a really scratchy version on VHS tape somewhere along with the rest of the show which also featured Stevie Ray Vaughan.

  • yuk.

  • Satriani looks like he has some classical training.

  • Missed parts of the solo cuz of the damn puppets clapping, but I liked how they matched Jimi's less than average singing, but damn Satch can play...

  • I just puked in my mouth a little...

  • I can hear Jimi Clapping!!!

  • einfach schön

  • so was schönes lange nicht gehört

  • Satriani is a master musician and master guitar player not including that he plays other instruments and i actualy like his voice...

  • Joe is the man!! AWESOME in my books but then again I am A satch fan.

  • This must have been the latter days of SRV :(

  • What a terrible remake. Jimi must be rolling over in his grave at this one.

  • This is the first time I have heard a cover of this song and your comment really caught my attention. After reading your comment I popped in "Are You Experienced" so I could listen to the Hendrix original and decided that I wanted to know what you would have done differently if you were covering that song acoustically?

  • That question was directed @ both shepptropremix and Sector Analyst.

  • cool Satch tout en humilité c'est beau à voir ! et quel solo ! tres fidél en fait ;)

  • Satch is insane! :)

  • Is it just me or is Jules Shears playing with an open tuning and doing straight barrs because he really can't play ? I am not being mean I really thought that was why he was playing that way. His vocals are good and he is really getting into it backing up Sattrioni but someone out there set me straight if I am wrong on this...

  • Jules's aforementioned unique guitar playing style consists of tuning the guitar in an open-G with an E in the bass. The guitar is not left-hand style per se (with the strings installed in reverse order), but actually held upside down, with the fretting hand's thumb wrapped down over the upper edge of the neck, barring across the strings, and the low E being at the thumb's tip.

  • Thanks for your reply. Do you think Jules is just a singer or what ?

  • one dude plays his guitar WEIRD! i've never seen that before

  • my worries seem so very small..

  • The reason they're laughing in the beginning is because Jules Shear pretended not to know what they were going to play.

  • nah Satch pretended not to know,he always does that shit, especially in G3 Jams, wen he knows they jam on the SAME songs every concert, and he goes "hmmm lets see...how bout we play a lil hendrix jam for u guys..."

  • i think it was Joe that pretended not to know: jules is the one standing don't you know...?

  • I remember watching this on tv way back!

Live acoustic guitar brings a beautiful dimension to this song I first heard hendrix play!

I always wanted to know who the guy was playing the nice barre cords? His & Satch's vocals & playing are wonderful together! Satch is such an versatile vituoso!

Thanks "sourskittles88" for this high quality treat!

  • yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

  • Anyone have a copy of the second song they did on that show (not I Believe), song without lyrics? Saw the original recording back in 1990, been trying to find it ever since Youtube was invented.

  • You can find the full version on mininova. Search for "Joe Satriani unplugged"

  • I got this entire episode...

  • wow, now i am anticipating for Clapton to play this song, using acoustic.

  • joe satriani is always

    one of the best
