can anyone explain to me how the battle work? Is it just action, or is it turbased, or what? I'm confused...

its turnbased like in many rpg's - but when you attack you have up to 5 attackcombo moves in a chain which you can trigger at different times (stop a combo early to make less damage but fill your special attack bar, trigger the next combo before enemy hits the ground to make a continious combo otherwise risk a counterattack etc)

in this vid you see it - they do several combo attacks and then trigger a special attack for every party character they show.

many people's speculation is that Endless frontier is set on universe parallel to OGs universe.

this is not the first time they did this in OGs and OG2 Shadow mirror is from alternate reality. than again this is speculation, we will know what this has to do with SRW series when it comes out. although i will be really pissed if it has nothing with SRW.

its rumored that this is the last layer universe in the OG multiverse, it will probably become a tie in project for all of Namco Bandais Crossover series. Just remember what they did with Namco X Capcom

It doesn't have a direct link to SRW"OG" per say. Though, Aschen (Green Hair Girl) confirms in this promo that she's W07 (which was mentioned by Axel in OG Gaiden). So there for, she is from the Shadow Mirror World. OG2 does mentioned that there were couple earlier version W series being lost when they used the System XN. As for Xiaomu & Reiji, it seems it's an after story from Namco x Capcom for them and for Kosmos, she seems to be searching the way back to her master.(Never played Xeno series)

Well since Xenosaga 3 pretty much leaves her rotting in space, because the rest of the xeno games got cancelled, it wouldnt be unlikely that she got pulled via plot device into the final layer ;)

actually Xiamo, and the other dude know Kos-Mos in one of the scenes Xiamo says in translation as best as i can "hey Kos-Mos long time no see" it is a direct reference to Namco X Capcom a termbase which this games termbase system is using.
