@wolves1109 Was Oregon really THAT good though? They won a weak conference, and got embarrassed by Boise State (that "amazing" offense scored a whopping 8 points in that one). Nothing against the Ducks, but if you think one decent win against a good but far from spectacular team erases years of embarassing losses you're insane.
And YES they are pitifully slow on both sides of the ball. They play good assignment defense, but the speed just isn't there. The Big 10 as a whole just lacks speed.

And FSU is down, but even in their worst season in over 30 years they blew out a then top 10 BYU on the road and comfortably beat a pretty good WVU team. In other words, they did more out of conference in one bad season than OSU has for the better part of a decade.

You Miami fans crack me up. VT football wasn't even relevant on the national stage until Beamer and Co. came into Blacksburg. Even then, Beamer almost lost his job after the first few seasons because there was little improvement. VT stuck with him and now we are a national power year in and year out. While VT has gained momentum, Miami has been losing it just as quickly..I'm not going to give you guys the title of "Has Been"..that would mean you have a solid history. Da U is a "One Hit Wonder"
