@boysselle These are my first goats, so I don't know too much, but they tend to climb anything while they are young, and grow out of it by about 1 year of age. Wild goats climb more often for survival - and some herds even sleep in trees. Crazy. I do not know the latin name, but they are Nigerian Dwarf goats, a dairy variety.

goats evolved to deal with rocky uneven environments. why is it so unbelievable that they would climb other structures?

goats and their kind have great climbing abilities and balance. see them in action on mountains and cliffs.

Because he's a BAD PONY! (sorry LauRed!) It's "Beau" he's flashy, but he sounds like a piggy when he runs and when he eats - always grunting! And he runs like a cow! He's such a bully and such a boy! But I love him!

Lauren's horse is mean to them, but the rest of the horses barely notice them. The goats had to learn to be smart about them. They are only about 17 inches tall, so they have to be careful and get out of the way!
