  • Man that must get boring

  • why does every idiot w/a CS feel the need to constantly rev it?

  • He needs 3 things.

    1. A helmet

    2. A pair of saw proof chaps

    3. A Stihl 660 Magnum

  • checkout the woodbeatall

  • speed it up old bird

  • every time you touch the wood is a waste of time, how about make a table where the wood falls when cut, then at the other end have someone running the splitter, THEN through into a pile? my back has been doing wood for 30 plus years, it does take it's toll, the less you bend over the better

  • He's using that little saw because he doesn't have a good marker, watch tap and cut.com

  • i was just waiting for a leg to slip out from under your foot and for you to land straight onto the chainsaw. BRABLEMBLEMBLEM bleeding...

  • cool

  • damn that splitter is cool i wish i had one of those lol

  • A sharp maul and an 18 yr old to help move would be faster AND cheaper than the gas to run the splitter. Birch. Not a hard axe to run.

  • @kenyonh you know, why dont you old ass bastards stop using us as cheap labor. i find it highly offensive because im 19, and a jack of all trades i can LEGALLY get my hands on. im as strong as a mule. and all yall want to tell me to come help you because i have pretty much the strongest work ethic out of anyone my age, and i do the best my skills let me, i dont know how to fail, and yall still pay us way less than were worth? treat us with some dignity and we might act like we have some! bastard

  • I'd get a bigger saw!!!

  • Ihave a husky saw like that one.

  • i like the wheels on the log splitter nice an big ausome not like some the lil tinyt factory produced so called towable ones they sell at homedepoot

  • devi affilarla non taglia

  • Husqvarna also remade the 570 Engines for less Vibration more Power and Less Heat the new engine looks like the style from the 455 Rancher

  • all x-torque engines are similar to the 455

they r more rounded than squared corners

  • even if so they lose power its Husqvarna and will have power i like the new models how the feel when you pick up the saw and the look i dont see hardcore dif vs old 2 cycle engine but i wish on X-Torq you would be able to set the Carb Adjustment Higher , but 400 and 500 Series are all the Future Models after 10 years Husqvarna Comes out with New Saws was like that with the 200 Series then cam along the 300 Series there was only 3 saws in the 300 Series that i like 365 and the 372XP and 55 Ranch

  • you realy shouldnt be climbing over logs with a running chainsaw, you should have a lear work area for obviouse reasons

  • No your wrong the 570 does not bog Down and the 570 and the 372XP are bouth good saws , the 570 use the same technologie has the 372XP exept they added X-Torq that gives you the 3 principles of Fuel and Emissions with more Torq

  • its call Cross Cutting and Bucking i do it all the time with Many Loads of Tiers i have a good Wood Spliter i got From Home Depot Surge Master and i Use the Husqvaran 570 with X-Torq

  • yea but the x-torque over a fwew year period it loses power

  • hutch3912 i dont know what you are talking about when the 570 is run for a while its a killer saw for fire wood cutting the saw gots X-Torq so it does not jam up at high rpms like the 372XP does when you are cutting alot and the 570 runs colder when cutting for a long time the 372XP bogs down the 570 is actuly a bigger saw with the X-Torq Power

  • the 570 was made to replace the 372 but did noy yhe 570 bogs down a hell of alot more than a 372

  • Jigging the throttle is what save's your saw from over heating. In bigger wood if you hold it wide open, for a amount of time you will score the piston on the port side. When sawing firewood you need a saw that will do your work, not you working the saw. You know your not going to lift 20 inch block's. You know that standing it up is faster, 55 year's ago i was splitting wood. I showed guys over & over what was faster. A wood spliter is a time killer, i could keep up all day, a ground logger.

  • get a welder to make a tray to cetch the wood for on your spliter ever time u split it falls to the ground and u have to pick it back up again. it will save u lots of time. and yeah u need a bigger saw.

  • I 've found that a vertical splitter is the easiest, so you don't have to lift the block. Start the split, back out the ram, rotate the block a half turn and hit it again. 4 pieces in a short cycle. I toss the splits into the bucket of my front loader and let it carry the wood to where I stack it. Saves the back and you still get a decent work-out.

  • Get a bigger saw, it will take a lot of the work out of it. With that wood get a double blade axe, stand up 10 block's at a time , bang, bang, bang, 4 time's faster.

  • try standin up a hole tree 20 in in diameter

i did it before and makes progress i can do it one time i did it with 4 trees i never stoopped till i was done

  • Is that a husky 141? I have one and it runs about the same. Not terribly strong but no smoke either.

  • hey that a good log splitter

  • dangerous working on the side of a stack of logs like that.

  • saw length not as big an issue as dull chain. also, what is w/ people jiggling throttle? think it sounds cool?

  • be there all day with that little husky get a bigger saw!

  • Your back must cane lifting those rounds onto the splitter.

  • WATS THAT SAW?

  • Huskvarna

  • I got a little 35cc McCullough I use for camping in the winter. That and 5 liters of fuel is easier to carry 5 or 6 klicks then cutting wood by hand for a week.

  • @mxz440skidoo husqvarna. looks like a 350

  • I am a big fan of safety. $50 for a pair of chainsaw chaps will be the best money you ever spend. Also, I would rather see you start your saw on the ground. It is safer. And since you are not wearing chaps, the moving chain is too close to your leg the way you started it. Buy your chaps today.

  • Have you ever worn chaps, safety glasses, ear plugs, long sleeve shirt, etc when its 90+ degress outside. I cut 4-5 cords this summer wearing only steel toe leather boots, shorts, and ear plugs. Hotter than fuck!!! but that is when I had the time to cut wood for winter. The heat loosen's your back up and the tan looks great! Safety equipment is nice but not always the most convenient, and user friendly. Anyone that cuts a sizeable amount of firewood knows the in and outs of chain safety.

  • We do 400 plus cords a year and in the summer Fuck chaps. I am all for safety but when it is hot you bake.

  • Reply by bigcasino215 above

  • Save yourself tons of time, most logs to not have to go all the way through the splitter. Start the spilt then reverse the ram, pull back the log and turn it and hit it again...you will see.

  • you need a STIHL chainsaw

  • OMG Get a Bigger husqvarna Like the 570 to Cut Fire Wood That 350 is to Small to use also some Safety equipment Would Help

  • What is the rush this is a hobby

  • Helps keep you fit too.

  • a sharp chain would definetly help !

  • well thats good advice but big saws hur or kill you!

  • Big saws don't hurt or kill you, they are actually safer than smaller saws. The added weight and power results in less kickbacks and bouncing of the saw.

  • second that

  • The 570 is a terribly made saw, the weight to power ratio is horrible when compared to a Husky 372XP or the Jonsered 2171, which are essentially the same exact.

  • Now I've been swinging a maul for many years, but after seeing the HEIKKI VIPUKIRVES splitting axe - well - just do a search for it and you'll see what I mean. Gotta get me one!

  • Logs splitters are way too slow, get a wedge maul with a steel handle...one hit.

  • You got to be kidding

  • Not kidding at all, I bet by the time you can load that log on there i could have it split three ways by hand...unless it is elm or something, in which case use the log splitter.

  • Infact I am half tempted to make a video of splitting by hand just to prove it.

  • Sure you could-- for about 3 sticks--then you would be done and I would continue for another cord or so. No one can keep up with a wood splitter for more than a couple of minutes except SUPERMAN

  • Well I beg to differ, I can swing a maul all day, as my grandfather taught me...slow and steady is better than fast an furious. My opinion, that I can prove...log splitters are loud and slow.

  • Good idea --why don't you make a 5 minute video of splitting wood and we will see how many sticks you split in 5 minutes. Of course the gas splitter never gets tired you know that --right?

  • Yes I do but watching you lift the same log over and over again looks alot more tiring than not lifting it at all.

  • Actualy he has a point, I also use an splithammer(don't know the english word, it's like an axe but wider) , and it go's realy fast (with weath wood, dry wood is to hard) , I split a kubic wood in about a good hour. and it is good for the body

  • to bozodclown98: you could also hire a ninja or something.

  • I sure as hell bet Dick Proenneke would have drooled over that log splitter! very nice piece of machinery

  • Oh my... I have to have one of those log splitters.

  • That is because it is real.

  • You've got to love working with firewood. Nice to have the tools as well! Good job Tinny...
