  • Amazing song, but I can't unhear the Top Gun theme. :P

  • I needed a reason to play this game (and finish it)

    I just found it \o/

  • Couldn't see Kluke for a little while, so I assumed she was smoldering in the fire off to the right :D

  • This game delivered, but I was not satisfied withthe DS sequels to the game

  • i love games like this the game play reminds me of finalfantasy

  • @LichfiendRazool Probably because they have the same composer. Nobuo Uemmatsu is great isn't he.

  • Nobuo Uematsu really knows how to make awesome Final Boss music... O___O

  • 7 people have no soul >:(

  • Nothing can beat Eternity for me. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWW!!!

    ...

... Thing is, I'm being dead serious. For some reason I just love Eternity, and I have no idea why. This is cool, too, though. Just not enough Deep Purple screams.

  • where is the download link...i want to dowmload this epic song

  • awesome game im going to send the mistwalker people a letter that asks if they can make a bluedragon 2

  • @Onceoponaburrito they did its called blue dragon plus and its for the ds and they made a third called awakened shadow

  • @cradam555 yeah but that was on ds and was ok i guess but i mean another one for xbox 360

  • I love this game no matter what i`m gonna watch the anime soon. :)

  • @joelymcpoely Hi man, I am a composer and avoid plagiarism on a daily basis because the clue is to avoid taking large sections of melodies from others. I have great respect for Nobuo and is one of my fav composers. Putting that aside for one moment though, the choir in the beginning has many many notes that work almost exactly like the top gun theme.. either you have no ears or you are in total denial.. go here: /watch?v=zCTJmXrgsFg

Listen to it and come back and listen to the choir..

  • @GodsImmortalGauntlet I don't think Nobuo was intentionally going for the Top Gun theme, he just happened to write it out. Only half of the first phrase really sounds like it. Good catch though, I wouldn't have thought about it if you didn't bring it up.

  • i traded this game in once i had played it one and a half times. in retrospect, I wish i had kept it and never bought ff13. not saying ff13 was terrible, but i was even more disappointed by it than i was by this game.

  • He stole the Top Gun theme lol

  • @GodsImmortalGauntlet you're not a musical person, are you?

  • epic theme

  • i beat the whole game and got all the achievments and everyone is level99

  • This game is one giant slice of cheese, but youll play anyway....

the combat system will have you hooked, but the rest is ghey!

  • Was Blue Dragon made by Square enix?

  • @WWERULEZ132 no, mistwalker made it.

  • @WWERULEZ132 No, it was made by Mistwalker. The last remaining bit of Squaresoft's soul left and became Mistwalker.

  • Need to get this game again XD

  • reminds me of Utena

  • FEAR AND AWE IN YOUR EYES, SHOWING YOU WHAT YOU CAN'T SEE. REACHING HANDS, YOU ARE MINE! STARING DOWN ETER-

    -Shot.-

  • Does anyone know all the lyrics to the song? Can't find them anywhere...=(

  • this is one of my favorite video game music themes of all time after i heard it.

  • its too bad that the normal boss fight music is so aggravating but it has some epic ass final boss fight music.

  • IT REALLY SEEMS A NOBUO UEMATSU THEME :)

  • @FLECHdiMARANGO95 YEAH IT DOES!! IT DOES SO MUCH I FORGOT TO TURN CAPS LOCK OFF!!!

    just messing with you

  • 7 destroys came through and pressed the Dislike button because they got beaten.

  • when does red dragon come out ?

  • Best.

    Boss.

    Music.

    Ever.

  • @MHRauga "Howl of the departed" comes close

  • @frostare Ironic that I listen to both right next to eachother all the time. xD

  • i agree kuggle i have this game when i first heard it i thought it was super epic

  • i prefer the music to the final nene fight, thats awesome

  • my fav part is 3:31-3:50

  • This is yet another reason why Uematsu rocks....

  • do you have a link to where I can download this song? it is awesome!!

  • Wheres the addictive song god damnit

  • The beginning guitar riff reminds me of the beginning of Decisive battle

  • i could only play this game half way without getting bored but did have a awesome soundtrack! go blue dragon ftw

  • Undyingly epic...

  • pity almost every boss in the game was way too easy for the exception of gold poo and gold mecha robo, and the dlc bosses...

  • Comment removed

  • Nobeu at its finest.

  • And i thought we would never hear music in the style of FF7, 8, 9 ever again....long live uematsu

  • Comment removed for not being cool enough for this song.

  • this game would be way better if marumaro didnt exist, and something less annoying took his place, the main boss theme had a lead instrument rather than a singer (or at least less cheesy lyrics), and if Shu would STFU about not giving up.

Nonetheless, I still fucking love this game.

  • @DarkDan12000

    Maro is awesome!

  • Sakaguchi + Uematsu = Win if we sum the Toriyama art we hace a perfect EPIC WIN!!! like this.

  • didn't like the game much myself but this track deffo one of the better things in the game, great song

  • love this song it really brings oout the game

  • the story and characters themselves are really cheesy.

but the music (especially this) and gameplay were enough to keep me playing =D

  • @MRNU1SANC3 the game was LONG but i liked the choices you got, cuz it could change the entire story line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What kind of the story did you expect from Akira Toriyama?

  • The last boss was really easy if you are lvl 50-53 with all your characters

  • Nobuo Uematsu= ♥

  • Amazing.

  • Nice theme. Thanks for the video.

  • This is a kickass song to kick some ass to.

    (Jiro is dressed like Sayia-man.)

  • Nobuo Uematsu aces every single theme he has composed!

  • @Caitshift Except One Winged Angel.

  • @CalvinAndHobbesPwns

So umm... you're reply means that you don't like one winged angel? ... erm that hurts. But it hurts aswell to say of that song that everyone has own opinion, and everyone has to respect that...

  • @Caitshift Thanks for not raging. To clarify what I meant, I actually do like One Winged Angel, I just think it's not nearly as good as most of Nobuo's other songs. It's good, just not amazing.

  • @CalvinAndHobbesPwns

Nerdraging is not my way of having a conversation / arguing from soundtracks. I respect your opinion.

  • anyhow at 3:32 suonds like top gun main theme...nice!

  • lol wow it really does. I don't think its a coincidence. Nobou is a genius of music, he might of planned it.

  • My god... this boss is a bitch. Even my level 50 team can't handle him :/ And they did bloody well against all three forms of Nene (I racked up 2000+ damage on him in the first round)

  • @Rexhunterj MY brother beaten it in less than 5 mins,he says is more difficult than King Snakepoo (or whatever it is said XD)

  • @Rexhunterj you have to level up more my characters do 2000 with one flarus PLUs i have an ability that lets you use two spells in one turn and with five characters that's about 20,000 damage a turn

  • @InfernapeCalib i meant 20,000 damage if all my characters hit then it would do 20,000

  • @InfernapeCalib

I was wondering if there was an ability to use two spells at once. For what class is that and what is the ability called?

  • Probably (The graphic was quite good) the best thing in the game BD was Nobuo Uematsu!

    7/10 game. Final battle :9/10

  • the story is very horrible in this game. its way too cheesy.

  • Blue Dragon is an excellent RPG !

    Sakaguchi's team rocks ^^

  • @squallotaku How do you mean it's an excellent RPG? I aint dissagreeing with you it's an amazing game. I'm just doing it because i've got to do my work and i've revolved it round Blue Dragon and an Ninja game like Shinobi or Ninja Gaiden. So why did you find it an excellent RPG?

  • Seems Nobuo still has that Final Fantasy feel to it, that rhythm guitar definitely has that Generic Nobuo feel to it. (Not Generic in a bad way, I mean it's something you can associate Nobuo's music to.) There's a few more in there as well that gives that Nobuo feel. I love it, makes it feel a mix of Nostalgic yet completley new at the same time.

  • 43-53 sounds like FF7 battle theme

  • Im starting to like this Nobuo guy. Ive heard that name a lot recently. Now that Ive heard this theme, Im going to keep an eye on Nobuo.

  • the best songs, mr. uematsu ever made are in the final fantasy games

  • Nobuo Uematsu is a god among Music Composers he only does work with Square and MistWalker but being 50 his life is awesome he has his own band called The Black Mages if you aint familar with his wirk then look at Final Fantasy thats his prime examples of his work.

  • @Stephensonicmaster Absolutely, I admire him and his "master" (more like his first inspiration) Koichi Sugiyama

  • @Stephensonicmaster

    Truly agree with you.

  • Uh, he single-handedly wrote the entire soundtrack to Final Fantasy VII. You're just hearing about him now?

  • Actually I have heard of him for awhile, but didn't put his name into any thought. I knew he had helped with the FF music, but I just didn't know how much help he offered.

Also I don't really take in the names of the composers, just the music. Any other composers I should know about?

  • Motoi Sakuraba wrote most of the music for the Tales series. He's just about as good as Nobuo from what I've actually listened to. He isn't spectacular at creating battle themes in my opinion, though, but he really knows how to set the mood and convey a theme.

  • motoi does make interesting battle music, though you can appreciate them more if you've played the actual game he wrote the song for.

One of his (imo) best works would be "Fighting of the Spirit" for Tales of Phantasia/Symphonia, "Person who Conceives Frenzy" (Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World), "Fury Sparks" (Tales of Vesperia) and "Violent Storm" (Baten Kaitos)

  • @danw91

    I love Fury Sparks! :D

  • Nobuo uematsu did ALL final fantasy music up till X-2. An d he's one of the best.

  • INCORRECT! :3 lol sorry.

From FFIX onwards Uematsu didn't do all music. He usually cooperated with people like Junya Nakano. This is especially notable in FFX. Hitoshi Sakamoto's pretty much the de-facto composer for FF right now. He's just as good as Uematsu though. :3

  • okay.... I looked it up and your right....

But he still did all of the work until then!

Some of the tracks i've been hearing from ff 13 versus sounds pretty good. especially the female vocals.

On this subject, here another piece of music you might like:

Death is the road to awe by clint mansell.

type it in! Its not game music, its film music, but its kindof got that epic game style that its music often has.

  • Not just FF7, He wrote the soundtrack for every Final Fantasy before that as well. And most of the ones after it too. And Lost Odyssey.

  • @SoccerFREAKz24 And you only heard of him after FFVII?

    FOR SHAME

    LOL'

    i'm just kidding.

  • @SoccerFREAKz24 not everyone is a FF whore you know.

  • @Rexhunterj They don't have to be?

  • The three Elements to create the perfect final boss theme are:

1:Have a cool opera like intro

    2:Go into kickass mode

3: Make the song mean something about the game. Like everything in this battle has you thinking that every little part of the story has come full circle, and it makes the battle seem even more dramatic.

This song utilizes all three correctly.

  • @Kugglelovesanime9 i know what you mean i think i found waht you looking for. go to my profile and watch my blue dragon and dq8 AMV

  • @Kugglelovesanime9 Also the very final boss of an RPG should be hard but not enough that you get game over.

  • @klonoa48 Ummmmm, yeah you should definitely get a game over against a last boss, hell i should at least 10 game overs before i beat a last boss. If i'm at the end of the game I best be tested and be pushed from getting an ending that i should damn well earn.

  • @Kugglelovesanime9 WHich is more than we can say for Wrath of the Lich King. Sigh. Idiots at Blizz wasted a perfectly good opportunity

  • @aarondirebear yeah, they did

  • Comment removed

  • @Kugglelovesanime9 Yup, the secret is out.

Bonus points if at #3 the song hits you with that "I´ll keep fighting" determination... feeling.

  • @Kugglelovesanime9 I find it kind of cool, how when you figure out moves that damage the boss, is one of the least expected. The wind element.

  • @Kugglelovesanime9 Listen closly in 2:50 You can hear them Chanting Destroy

  • @HeroChao132 Startign @ 2:39 I hear: Destroy, all life! Destroy, all of them! Destroy! ALL OF YOU!

  • @Danzilla1996 Everything after that is definitely japanese.

  • @TheBadShaman Oh, yeah. No doubt about that.

  • Message back 2 me, Yourstruly is my cousins account.

  • Cant defeat this boss lol, every1 in my party is lvl 52, shu is the only one that has 999 hp though. Lvl 62 class sword.

  • I was only level 51 and had a level 55 sword master rank with him. I still won. If I could you can too.

  • this boss is fairly easy when all your characters are at 55. im up to 88 by now and i make a pussy out of him, cant even use my corporeals :(

  • 88?! Seriously?!

  • yes seriously, im up to 99 in the mean time, all shadows trained, game finished 100 percent.

  • :o...

  • im lv 50 all shadows like lv 50 or higher im trying imossible im at disk 2 at the place trapped in green barrier

  • @rapadash0 DON'T over level yourself if you want to decent fight -.-' I was level 60 and i made the bosses cower in a corner and cry..........

  • @Stephensonicmaster You could just overlevel yourself and then play on Impossible mode, that mostly even's thing's out =P

  • @daxtonator Theres a harder mode. How do i unlock it O.O

  • you DL it off XBL marketplace..its free i think...

  • Same here.

  • i was level 99, i died in three hits

  • he not i...XD...

  • @xCloud7thx How the hell did you die at lvl 99!?

  • the boss died, not i...XD "wrong type"

  • this boss does not deserve the greatest boss song in the world!

  • you're right but im glad he did get it because i love this song :p

  • hehe love it I sat for hours on end listerning to this when I was fighting the final boss (not spoiling for those who havent finished) if you wanna know who it is ask me ^^

  • LOST ODYSSEY FTW AND THIS THEME FTW

  • on 3rd disc - just did a TON of keleon training by field barrier and jiro - managed to kill the ghost yeat tree thing without it having a single turn lol

  • i am on the second disc

  • This final boss theme is win.

  • still is.

  • damn this one and the lost odyssey final boss track is so damn close...but ima have to go with Lost odyssey.

  • I've just finished Lost odyssey and I'm about to buy Blue dragon very soon. Can't wait!

  • The song is 10 times more epic in high quality!

  • That's happened at least twice, maybe even 4 times, where the second main antagonist actually replaces the main antagonist. In Final Fantasy Adventure, Julius replaces the Dark Lord. In Super Paper Mario, Dimentio replaces Count Bleck. In a walkthrough I had, it said that you fight some guy from Coctus (or whatever the name is) after Vincefield on the start of Disc 2. Also, in Mega Man X8, some person named Lumine apparently comes after Sigma. It happens a lot. Weird, I know.

  • Maybe it's a japanese thing that they like reusing that plot device. I know a few anime did a similar plot twist. Most recent one I can think of is Gundam 00.

  • Damn it, I forgot to mention the walkthrough thing was Wild Arms 2. I love that game. ^^

  • That character looked more like a girl so I assumed it was a girl. But it's name is Caina

  • Whatever, girl or guy, I can't remember, but yes, it's Caina. Never got that far in that game though unfortunately... Took me forever to have someone tell me where the desert dungeon was (funny how you go past it for a dungeon in the salt lands and back track. I thought the salt back then was ice. Isn't it? Salt. Right by a desert and all. So bizarre.) Then when I replayed the game years later and got to the dungeon, I couldn't get the recorder and stuff. Brad left and I couldn't open the doors.

  • Such a fun game XD

  • You mean Wild Arms 2? Hell yeah, especially 1. Never really got into 3 and I haven't played 4 or 5 at all. I looked up that gamespot gave Wild Arms 2 the worst rating though being lower than 7, which means they thought 3 was even better than it. Sad... Man, these people for Kirby 64 were saying they were dumb for giving it a 6.9. Someone else said a Ratchet and Clank got a 7 or whatever. And these apparently were for stupid reasons...

  • No this game itself is quite fun too, but I'm not sure about the story and stuff. I like the music in it too, but Nobou has done even better. Maybe he's not the only composer though? That's who it said on the back of the cover though. And Maru Maru is a bit too annoying after a while... I don't know if I can stand it anymore.

  • I feel that it can be hard to give a game a fair rating if you don't really spend a good amount of time playing it, and then reviewer bias comes into effect...

But I did play Wild Arms 3 and I feel that it may have been the best quality RPG in the series, though my fave is still Wild Arms 2 and I like 1 a lot. I probably won't ever touch 4 because I heard it's atrocious, but I liked 5.

  • True, and the best? Better than 1? There's no way! 1 was like, SO good. A legend. I have a hard time believing any of them, even 2 can be better.

Yeah, I wonder how far reviewers even go when they rate games. Apparently, gamespot is ridiculous. I kind of hated them before I heard people say that about Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. The Zero Two battle is awesome. ^^ They just need to make it harder. Too easy. :p And man, some kid's games are hard... Like the first Rayman.

  • you thought rayman 1 was hard? have you ever heard of a game called Croc 2? that game is a monster! a fuzzy, adorable monster! that game has tormented me since i was 10. im 16, and i still cant beat it. :(

  • i beat croc 2 when i was like 10 but god it was a pain in the ass man. i hear you XD

  • lol. I never even gotten very far in the game myself or even liked it much. I finally got to world 2 years ago at one point. The first one is better and easier to me. I couldn't beat the first boss of the third world. Every time I got hit, I would swim to the crystals I drop but then I would get hit again. I saw some guy beat him by just attacking him a lot. lol. Is it just me, or do the controls kind of suck for the game?

  • lol. The game seems kind of like Sonic, and it seems a little short ecause there's 4 worlds and it kind of seems like seasons.

  • yea that game's controls are a pain in the ass no lie

  • Are you serious? That game was EASY for me!! I think the only real trouble I had was in the Bride of the Dungeon of Defright. Now THAT level was annoying!!

  • well some people find some games easyer :P like for examp i think croc was harder then....lets say....l4d on intense (if thts one of the levels of diffaculty havent played l4d in like forever)

  • @evilass334

I was only able to finish the first half of Croc 1, but I don't think I ever beat Croc 2. But most of all, I miss my Tomba. :(

  • @quest

i got both tomba games luckly....they shaped my gameing life when i was like 6 :P

  • @QuesoGr7

I finished both Croc 1 and 2, recently obtained new copies of both and still play them today :D I even began making modding tools for them as well ;)

  • @SilverTrinityLimit YOU FUCKING SPOILER ! MARK THIS COMMENT AS SPAM ! NOW !

  • 3.13 to 3.51 I like that part

    =D

  • ha i know im bein seriously outvoted,,,,respect peeps

  • EPIC.

  • I can beat him at lvl 40 without takinga hit (hint use quickus)

  • Nobuo uematsu ( guywho made thissong ) also made LST odyssey's final boss track

  • and the rest of both games scores you hero.

  • I kinda guessed it was the same. The way it starts with a kind of opra theme then all the guitars join in and make it a really epic sound track!

  • Final Boss: Destroy

  • totaly... aawsom

  • the first 30 seconds sound like Halo music

  • you cant complete this game fully in 23hrs sorry

  • I think he he's including both a full monsterpedia and all the the specail bosses, and possibly the achievements too, I'd like to see that myself!

  • lol hence that fact he cant lol gotta spend atleast 30hrs on the game if that more. I know I spent way more then 30
