proves great engineering? a big reason the big three are going out if for their bullshit engineering. ford has been putting oil filters upside down over their engine bay, and they have been recalled for lighting on fire in their garages.
as far as a good diesel powerplant goes yeah american is a good way to go. but overall engineering? japan is putting us out, there is a reason toyota and nissan have the BEST resale there is.
@shaundiedrinksdew I also beg to differ. In some points, yes, but again, my response is about a diesel, but my 02 Powerstroke (7.3) has a higher resale value than any other jap car made in 2002.
thats also because your vehicle costs more MSRP, i guarantee you the percentage of value you have lost comparable to what the truck was new, is much greater than the percentage lost on a frontier and especially tacoma.
That Ford blew you away and yet it had less trap speed than the Civic in your other video. If the Civic had a better launch, it would have been a worse outcome than with this Ford!!
I just traded in a Dakota 5.9 R/T for a Nissan Frontier S/C. I have to say I'm very disappointed with the Nissan's performance. It will need many mods........
@Boulderite7 If you're talking about the older 3.3L V6 s/c .. yah those are kinda slow to begin with (210 hp, 240 tq), even compared to the newer N/A 4.0L which are pretty quick (265 hp, 280tq).
@Slovflyer Yea i aint gonna talk bout my old baby but yes the 3.3l is alot les powerful hopefully when i put air intake and exhaust on it she will be a little quicker. But yes I want the new 4.0 so bad
HIGHER Resale my ass I am asking 10k over book value on mine

@shaundiedrinksdew True, but I would still trust to take an ole' trusty Ford somewhere than a Toyota or Nissan, and then again, it is all opinions.

Keep in mind the weight of the f150 and the weight of the frontier, I'm sure they offset.
mmz77 3 years ago
The F150 got the engine fom a Ford GT it is homolagized and 'relaxed' the engine. The frontier got a normal Jap pick-up engine
wj0102 4 years ago
Other way around...Ford made the GT with the f150 block.

I got to know it an hour later xD
wj0102 2 years ago
@stl4kt no, ford made the cobra with the f150 block. the good 5.4 block i mean. not the shitty 4.6.
