Triggers can either help you or hurt. The only thing i'm gonna use triggers for is my double bass kit cause tuning those suckers is a b. but everything else i like to have sound just how i tune them.

Triggers DO NOT HELP SPEED, that are a way of micing your drums without the hassle of figuring out the correct sound you want. I am currently an audio production major and trigger infact just help amplify your sound with the sound YOU DESIRE. A trigger doesnt hook up to the peddal or anything its simply a sort of clamp around the ring of the kick drum. as TEDBOB said, it is used to get the sound of the bassdrum out so you can hear it alot better.

I can understand where people would say it is cheating because you can change the sensitivity of the response of your trigger through certain modules but I totally aggree with you. Just because you change the sensitivity doesn't mean you still don't have to actually play that part. Plus, think about it, if I went to watch a band live, I would def. want them to sound as perfect as they can so I would like to hear the drummer as clear as I can along with the rest of the band.

Actually there is a Trigger that you can hook up to certain pedals Derek Roddy uses it on his pedals it hooks to the cam and once it passes a certain point it triggers. but like you said it doesn't improve playing at all just provides different sounds.

why is it such a big fucking deal if he triggers? it doesnt improve ur speed or anything, it improves your sound on how it comes out when you hit the bass, its not cheating. alot of metal bands use triggers to get that sound for the style of metal they play, like the black dahlia murder they use triggers. quit fuckin complaining about triggers. kevin has more talent in his finger then you have in your whole body

well depends how much you practice

like some people can play fast but only practice like maybe 10 min a day so there stamina isant gonna be as good as someone who plays like 1 or 2 hours a day

It did for me like i just started playing alot and i dont get tired i can go for a long time depending on what the playing but even really hard stuff i can go for a while lol. just takes practice.

i find if you're doing alternating blasts not where your hands are hitting at the same time a one foot blast is easier with that cause it follows your right hand but when both hands are going same time two foot blast is easier for me

yeh it sounds better with triggers cause they make the notes clearer

triggers only do the same as mics, just amplifying the note when you hit it. The only thing diferent with triggers is that you can change the sound they make.

Never once have I heard that a blast beat is fake if he uses his left foot, or his right. It's all a matter of preference.

Not for me its not. If you use proper form its like setting the kick on autopilot. I use two feet for blast leading with my left but I one foot using my right hand on the snare ect.
