  • the goldtop was used for 2/3 of the tracks we recorded at brian adams' the warehouse studios, avalible for free via my band "the stone pines" website. ( the track "devil in the shade was recorded using an RS4 with gibson P-94 pickups)

  • nice video! i have a RS4 goldtop with lollars as well! i actualy use another tobacco burst RS4 with larrivee generation III humbuckers as a backup. Ive adjusted the pickups hights to match, and they are fairly similar, but the lollars have a certain "magic" to them that the larrivee hb's just dont quite have.. Id post a demo but i dont have the mics atm.. and id get evicted. (rs4-george l's cables-tuner-(cranked)traynor custom 15w-mesa solid AAA flamed maple 2×12)

  • Jason,

Awesome looking RS-4 Goldtop that you snagged for yourself! Thanks so much for posting your clip! The Larrivee HB's are really "SPECIAL PICKUPS" and you have so many tonal possibilities by tweaking the tone and volume pots especially with the pickup selector in the middle position! Really nice little track you put down with the RS-4 and your MESA 5:50 amp! I am MACSMOJADO at the Larrivee Forum!

  • @gibbymy335 Thanks for the kinds words. I actually have an older model with the Lollars. I would love to compare the Lollars to the Larrivee HBs.
