God's Seven Steps of Salvation

2. Believe

3. Confess your sins to God

4. Repent or turn away from those sins, change your way of living.

5. Baptism

Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Acts 8:35-39,...

Baptism is not a work because we can never be good enough for God. We need His grace. What baptism IS is obedience. After all, why would you not want to obey God and show your love for Him by doing what Jesus commanded and said was necessary? IF you truly want to please Him and be saved.

@Bosingr The Bible says nothing about "truely pleasing God" in order to be saved. The commandment to be baptized, is not an option, we should be baptised, but we are certainly not saved through baptism. What hinders me from being baptised? Acts 8:37-38 Believe on the Lord Jesus and you may because through faith in His name we are saved Acts 10:43 16:30-21 we are not saved by obeying the command to be baptised, 1 Cor 1:17 Paul would not have made this statement if baptisim was essential.

@Bosingr Oh, so all I have to do is half heartedly say some "Sinner's Prayer," say I believe in Jesus, and then never have to go to church again but party like Charlie Sheen and I still go to Heaven on a red carpet as soon as I die from a drug overdose or drinking binge.

Pardon my sarcasm, but I'm in a bad mood at the moment from hearing/reading so many say you don't have to do squat to get to Heaven. They think you don't have to repent, don't have to be baptized(surely there was a reason...

"Luke 6:46 (NKJV) But why do you call Me "Lord, Lord,' and not do the things which I say?

Matthew 7:21 (NKJV) "Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

I agree with Wilby1414, you didn't explain the essence of salvation. All you need to do is recognize your a sinner and believe in Jesus to save you. Thats all.

I absolutely disagree with this video and your belief system. The word 'regeneration' means 'to become formed again'. We do become new creatures in Christ at our baptism in his name and the in-filling of the Holy Ghost.

This view or understanding came from Calvinism. I respect your disagreement. But I believe my explanation is biblically based and based on sound hermeneutics. Anyway, let us still follow the principle of I Cor. 13 about love because without godly love eventhough we are 100% accurate in our biblical understanding we are still nothing.
