  • If you used decent paint, maybe your designs wouldn't look like crap and you could do more impressive designs than cheap cheek art that any 2nd gader could do. I speak from expirience - numerous face painting awards at competitions and conventions, I now teach face painting at conventions and even have my own small group of 4-H kids I'm teaching now, and THEY do better work than this... and they use proper paint. If you're going to make an instructional video, try RESEARCHING first.

  • Shows what you know... Palmar 'face paint' is no different than craft paint. It has polymers and traces of lead in it that cause it to dry hard and crack which block the pores and causes serious rashes and can eve HOSPITALIZE children. Palmar 'face paint' is so bad for the skin that it is even BANNED in Canada, the only reason our FDA has not banned it yet is because the few loopholes that Palmar exploits and the FDA is too lazy to fix it. Try using GOOD face paint, like Mehron, Snazzaroo.

  • great ideas! thank you

  • I am doing a holiday bazarr this weekend and your tips are good! I also use those brushes! they are cheap but effective! thanks so much!

  • cool video bro

  • I think you should use proper paint like diamond fx, much cleaner neater designs.

  • i like this movie i like face painting i done face painting a long time ago.

it is fun doing face painting some people do face painting at home

  • Nice tutorial! I just wanted basic paint and your tips were very helpful. Thanks for sharing.

  • you people are so mean. lets see some of you face paint. I think she is great and it takes practice to be perfect. so take a chill. have you not heard if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all. girl please forgive them and keep up the good work.

  • If you have continued with this, please put an update on youtube. Those paints are very poor in quality and make your work look sloppy....Better paints would make a world of difference...

  • thanks

  • that looks like poster paint

  • yah you really need to get better paints and brushes because those paints are very bad and the texture on the face is bad

  • Girl, where's the update vid??? I started with small things too, so don't let the bozo's here get to you... I do special f/x now, and I love it! Take each step as it comes.......

  • ok, listen all you negative people commenting. She is new to this and is OBVIOUSLY young.instead of bashing her, take a lesson in constructive criticism. That being said, BLT365, you are wonderful. I think by now you have evolved since 2009. so please do a update video. I have myself used palmers. I had to buy it quick due to low on snazaroo. I must admit, I wont use it again. I have found Tulip makes a real nice face paint now and I love it. They sell it at AC moore. Good Luck

  • i don't know why anyone would pay anything for those

  • @kewlbananable yeah i agree they are so uneven and scruffy!

like no care was taken at all, your supposed to be able to do full face as well as little things!

i always thought of face painters as failed makeup artists

dont get me wrong body painters are amazing and that takes talent

  • @MrAJBx you are a fail. if you can paint it doesn't matter what you paint on!!! Georgia o'keeffe painted on anything and everything....even rocks. how dare you belittle face painting. It's all about bringing joy to children anyway, but a shallow person like you wouldn't understand that. face painting is great!

  • Try attendng FABAIC in orlando florida

  • Palmers really???? You totally get what you pay for using that brand!!

  • You are very creative and artistic - Try using Grimas or Diamond FX face paint and your ideas will take on a new life and you'll have even more fun.

  • Thank you SO MUCH for making this video. I have to paint quick cheek designs for tons of kids in a couple of weeks. Thank you!!!

  • Thanks so much u have inspired me!!!!!

  • baby girl...please do not be discouraged by the comments. There' s alot of good advice here. Your potential is amazing and the passion you have for your work is great. I think its awesome that someone offered to send you a kit...that's love right there. It's really true that the paint you use makes a WORLD of difference in your presentation. That's the general consensus here. Trust me, once you get a good set of paints and do the exact same designs, you will see how different they look .

  • I used the same face paint and brushes for a day, and idk how you can use that paint well. Because that paint sucks. theres to much water made into it.

  • you are very messy!!!! my 5 yr old could paint those images.....

  • Hi Brittany, Great video, but I would like to elaborate on why so many seem to be so interested in you using professional paints. It's actually a safety issue for the children that you are painting. Professional face paints are made out of cosmetic grade ingredients, but Palmer's isn't. I don't want to beat you up, but this is an educational video and people should know that Palmer's is not the safest paint to put on a child. If you would like, I could mail you a small kit to get you started :)

  • @wmeventservices this paint is safe on kids, i've used it before. It also isn't that good. It makes talented people look like they have never drawn or painted in their lives.

  • Im sorry love but i would be very angry if i paid money for that, the paint quality is like craft paint. Sori..invest in some good ones babe :) but great enthusiasm

  • @ellyse1997 this paint cost me 10 dollars at walmart. I needed face paint for a fundraiser and it was last min. And it made me look like i have never painted in my life when I started using it on customers. And I was really embarrased and mad that it was to watery.

  • I agree with everyone else.....professional facepaint really isnt that expensive but very well worth the few extra bucks compared to those paints used in this video.....better result, last longer (hence you actually save), less chance of allergic reaction by kids and less chance of legal action

  • I'm just starting and turned to youtube for advice. Your video, and the comments, have been helpful. You are very talented, keep up the good work. God Bless!

  • I agree with others--it would be a good idea to get some professional face paints. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be so much more pleased with the results. Your linework will flow like butta!

  • i appreciate your video and your enthusiasm! however, i tried that paint ONCE and found that it stained terribly. get Snazaroo at Michael's w/ 40% off coupons from joining their website & the knack. try their Loew Cornell black brushes as well. good paint & brushes will make for WAY easier and better painting.

keep up the great work!!!! especially as you bless the kiddos at your fellowship.

  • You are so enthusiastic, and have some natural artistic talent. I'm going to chime in with the others and encourage you to invest in some good quality facepaints. A starter palatte doesn't have to be a big investment, and I'm sure you'll fall in love instantly when you discover what all you can do!

  • ruim de mais vai treinar mais ..........

  • palmers is crap

  • Go for the real stuff and invest. Cheap paint does not mean good work. Professional face paint will last a long time. Yes it costs more, but you can do so much better art work. Check some other videos and see the possibilities.

  • What ReefBotanicals says is true! If you try the professional face paint brands—you will realize the consistency of this stuff is approximate to what comes out of your nose. :P

  • Highly reccomend the Snazaroo paint. It's awesome and less messy than Palmers, and you can get it at Micheal's. Also, the Klutz book has some great Wolfe makeup in it. You did a very nice job on making and editing your video!

  • Your face paintings would look SO much better and less messy if you used good face paints like Snazaroo, Wolfe Brothers, Kryolan, Grimas, Fardel, Fantasy Worldwide, Mehron, or any of the plethora of others available. Plus, with those, you'd be able to do full face painting, which is much more fun than simple cheek art, and much more professional.

  • Love your work! Can you make some more videos? Would love to see some more ideas.

  • Cute, very simple yes... good for begginers.
