No goal tend. the ball never even made it above the rim! it was on it`s way down outside the rim. of course that`s after it touched the rim then the backboard!

clearly a very close call, but a rebound it is!

it's a rebound as the ball hit the rim, missing it, but with jordan's hand behind the ball, it' s hard to see if he touched the ball right after it hit the glass and causes the ball to miss, then that would be gt. the ref had a clearer view, not that it means anything..

The shot did look like it might miss. But you can't hit the ball right after it hits the glass. That's an easy goaltending. Of course all the zombie Jordan jockers are coming here and voting that it wasn't goaltending.

first you can see in slo mot that ball hit the rim from bellow it can't go in to the basket then touch the glass and then MJ just take her like a rebound that is clear!!!

I think it was a goal tend, because he blocks it when it's on it's way down to the rim after it hit's the backboard, it doesn't matter if it's missing, it's still making it's way towards the cylinder of the hoop, once it's below the hoop it would be legal to rebound the ball

Clearly goal tend. The ball hit the backboard, was headed towards the rim, and was then hit by jordan. Very easy to call goal tend. Funny how all these jordan fans try to say it is not a goal tend.

@backyjr This is hard to see. It looks like it bounced off the backboard then may have hit the rim. If thats the case, then its a rebound. But if it didnt hit the rim off the backboard, then its a goaltend. Hard to tell. I think it hit the rim and Mj touched it. Which came first (Mj touching the ball or the ball hitting the rim) is the difficult thing to see.

That was goaltending the ball hit the backboard first and the it was gonna hit the rim before jordan grabbed it. Looking at the spin and angle of the ball hitting the rim he was gonna miss the layup anyway.
