  • Maybe not Oscar but pretty damn close! So close in fact that if you turned the video off, one would be hard pressed to say it wasn't - great!

  • Greeeeat man!!!

  • So fucking good!

  • @saztres Thanks man

  • Sir, you are an amazing player :-)

  • its okay but this aint no Oscar Peterson. You lack the power and precision that Oscar had in his hands. Nice try though.

  • @860125mwj : Hello thanks for your comment, fore sure I'm not Oscar...

But it's only a tribute, it's for fun, at home, in loving memory

    Just that...

    Take care

    Respect sir.

  • Great playing, thanks for posting.

  • Really thank you for your kind reply :) And do you mean "charlie and dizzy" by Charlie Parker an Dizzy Gillespie? Or it's that a certain album by either or both or them? I really appreciate your help about this source.

I feel excited about your playing especially your chord designation and distribution. Thank you very much!

  • Yes I ment "Charlie & Dizzy"

  • Thank you very much!

  • You are really excellent!

In a mood of playing in a jazz, and I cn recognise a great proportion of the music is improvised by yourself!

I am a pop improvisor and learning jazz improvisation now. How I hope that one day I can see you in Paris, though I am planning going abroad to study in US.

Would you like to give some tips in your chord playing and melody improvisation? I really want to learn something about you to obtain that awesome mood!

    Would you bother reply this?

  • Hi and 1st thank you for your kind comment !

The only tip I could give you: listen, and transcribe the masters ! This is the best tip I could ever give you because it's how I personaly have learned this music : no jazz lessons, justen listen ... And I'll give you a secret : when I get a chance to meet Oscar himself I asked him how he managed to learn Jazz alone in canada in 1940 ? Trough one single record : charlie and dizzy brought by his father !!!
