Because they "Didn't feel the same energy towards the band anymore"

Apparently, every member of the band is planning on playing the metal subgenre's that they want to follow.

So most likely all the members of After Forever will either join existing bands or form new metal bands entirely with other musicians.

So basically, one great band was sacrificed to continue metal as a whole.

But whatever, I'D RATHER AFTER FOREVER STAYED TOGETHER. :(

I would also attribute it to the fact that their main writer for the music and everything was having seizures due to the stress and everything else that came with the band. Hopefully one day in the future they'll come back together, but I don't expect anything yet.
