I wonder why the Bl20gh aren't used for passenger service on the Hudson line. I think they can be used as shuttles between Croton Harmon and Poughkepsie.
@malikrthr1 I do not know. Do not see Long Island equipment either although all these commuter lines have a unified management. A guess: Maybe CT bought this equipment and so the equipment is used where it serves CT riders. Any other ideas? Anyone know? Thanks for asking. PS - Love UR Channel.
Part of the MTA capital plan or program was for some of the LIRR trains to get fixed in maintenance facilities along the Hudson line. Maybe it's in the works. I hope to see some LIRR trains along the Hudson line soon.
@gmen2007champs Yes, Wassaic Station is a good spot to catch a train. ! HEHEHE ! Wassaic station on NY Rte 22 south of Amenia and North of 10 Mile station. And set ups on a road thru the hamlet of Wassaic between these stations. Thank you Chris
@gmen2007champs The woods and stream were shot from the loop road off 22 through the hamlet center of Wassaic. Just south of the hamlet center.. The tripod straddles the road guard rail over the stream. There is only one side road on the RR (East) side of 22 between 10 Mile and Wassaic stations. Also see the remark by CQDX018. Thanks Chris.
Great vid how did u edit your video with a mp4 format i have a samsung handycam and wenever i want to edit it on windows movie maker it doesn't allow me?
@trainboy15 Yes, JaQuan. Microsoft also offers free, Windows LIVE Movie Maker, bundled with Windows Live Messenger, can be downloaded on its own, and will work with MP4. I use Adobe CS4. Far more than I need. CS5 is out. Corell is fine. Corell is much less than Adobe. Apple has the best software and hardware for video work. My view. Thanks for asking.
@fgjfdgjf Yes they do. 90 miles each way by train plus the drive to the station. Not just Manhatton. White Plains, Brewster. On a north bound train, I got chatting with an official of the alternative tanglewood music festival. He was relying on a ride driving 55 miles from Stockbridge, MA, to pick him up at the Wassaic Station. Harlem line is now a stub. It used to junction in Chatham with the B&A. That piece is a rail trail.
Great video!! The P32AC-DM's do NOT have retractable third rail shoes...they are stationary. Also the 126 was NOT built for MEtro-North but was built for CDOT along with the 125, 127, 128, 129, and 130. The New Haven painted Loco's are all owned by CDOT but are in pool service around the entire railroad.
Good afternoon, buddy! Loved the catches! Very good indeed. I loved the first video of the standard cab locomotive flying through the station at your location. He sure wasn't stopping! Look's like MTA has some P42's. Over all nice video my friend! 5/5!
@CQDX018 Thanks for your wonderful comments. There is no station in that shot. The platform is for entertainment events at the restored grain elevator in Wassaic. The fence is to help people stay off the tracks in the hamlet. Thanks.
@CQDX018 he wasn't standing at a station during the first shot with the standard cab BL20GH...he was just south of Furnace Bank Road in wassaic...about a quarter mile south of the Wassaic train station.

@gjhgjh WOW the Harlem line really goes far out! Do people really commute from this area all the way the to Manhatten everyday?
