  • its called a photographic memory, the way it works is he see's it there before its drawn, so in some way, its just tracing for him and some shading and texture technique. think of it like the term "consider it done". everyone's mind is different though. and this is still incredible fake or not, cause its free hand.

  • Where is this video from? SOURCE? He had to have MEMORIZED a TREMENDOUS amount of visual information in order to do this. Not even Einstein could do this. So, is he one of the very few in the world to possess a tremendous memory or is he a fake?

  • 222 peoples are mindless.

  • I would "use" this man for art and for intelligence purposes. Just amazing.

  • fascinating. simply amazing!

  • every part of his brain is focused on that one task that he becomes an expert at it yet he sucks at nearly everything else including what we find simple and mundane. Sounds like an autism spectrum disorder.

  • He probably have Aspergers or something. Therefore he's incredibly good at focusing one just one thing. It's a cool ability.

  • I personally think that Asperger's Syndrome and Autism are not bad things like they make them out to be, but are in fact gifts,,, So much a single person can do when they have those "syndromes"... i wish i had it..

  • @DrFruedienslip Um... I never mentioned Hollywood?

  • @thecapone45 Actually it was my fault because I thought that I was on another channel' its quite irronic now we communicate today isnt it'

  • There's just one thing: Autism would make you relatively a "Genius" in some given areas, while completely underdeveloping other areas.

  • Idiot Savant

  • @Judeau0311 Nope, you need special connections in your brain. Otherwise you have to consciously think and translate each object between different areas of your brain.

  • I'd love to get my hands on that delicious superior parietal lobule.

  • GOSU.

  • 221 people cant draw :)

  • @h0bb3lit0 no.

  • This goes to show how incredible the human mind is.. WOW! Just imagine if we could tap our potential.

  • @obscurecuit It is a misconception that humans use only 10% of their brains - they use all of it, only 10% of it is used most of the time for everyday activities. Let me give you an example: have you ever heard someone get shot in the head and then say "that was lucky i got shot in the 90% that I don't use". Also bear in mind that autism is a spectrum that we all fall into, and that not everyone who is more autistic also has increased mental abilities or decreased social ones. It simply varies.

  • thats impossible!

  • Wow.....incredible.

  • errrrr your a homeo

  • he should read books like loads of books

''i see pictures and i connect them''-Temple Grandin

  • If he can cache a book in his mind, he doesn't have to bye it ;)

  • just as i thought,,, he is a savant :)

  • impossible... see how our minds can do.. but dont know how to use it to the fullest capacity heheehe he is incredible..

  • @fghjkk01 that's not very nice

  • Are you better than him?

  • can't say but so amaaaaaazing

  • Amazing!

  • Syntax error.

  • i wana memorize the whole book like this so i can ace my exams.

  • jst amazing...

  • I don't doubt this, I think autism tends to block out society thus making the mind more open, it's like being on LSD in a constant state, everyday. They think and remember stuff we "normals" don't. Or it could be that they are channeling the past because they don't have the roadblock-or mindblocks that we do. Very interesting minds of the autistic.

  • thats a very well written paragraph there, I believe your idea on autism more than i believe some of the cheesy shit they've tought me in school and in books. Cheers to that

  • WOW! fantastic ....

  • i wonder how much that picture sold for thats saying if he did sell it

  • woaaahhh...cool. talk about your photographic memory. O.o

  • gel de kıskanma

  • i learned him that, nah just kidding.

  • our brain can save many ecyclopedia but we dont use it because our desire.

we only use what we need for specific mission.

as i know from my experince in depression and anixty disorder who suffer from this ill he use very very low amount of brain function not because its his desire , its just side effect from depression ill

  • Please don't say we use 3%,5% or whatever of our brains because this is not true. Its a theory that was proven wrong.

  • then it wasnt a theory but a guess, a theory is based on facts, a guess is just.. a guess. with a flaw of knowledge

  • was it? i still thought that was correct? do you know what we do use then?

  • @bigwaitsfan

There is no scientific evidence to suggest that we use only 10% of our brains.

Perhaps when people use the 10% brain statement, they mean that only one out of every ten nerve cells is essential or used at any one time? How would such a measurement be made? Even if neurons are not firing action potentials, they may still be receiving signals from other neurons this the answer is very clear we use ALL OF OUR BRAIN 100%

  • doesnt his hand get tired from like drawing that. mine get tired after like 2 mins

  • fyi, he's autistic. still jealous?

  • ...wow.... that's just not fair....! :/

  • If we will trust logic not wilders the world wile be more beautiful and better...

    Im greeting

  • think about it, we use less than 3% of our brain. Imagine if we used 100% of it o.O

  • I'm guessing English isn't your first language. Anyway, it's not necessarily a mistake. A lot of brain tissue is for protective purposes. It's impossible, however to measure precisely how much brain tissue is used since our brains work on such complex levels.

  • I'm an artist, and when I took childhood drawing lessons at a local museum, our instructor would always remind us....."Look, See, Remember". All these years later, that mantra takes on new meaning after seeing this remarkable video. This young man has displayed an uncanny, thrilling talent....I hope his unique abilities bring him a lifetime of satisfaction. I loved watching this!!!!

  • why give him only 3 days?

  • The powers of the mind are amazing. If more of us used our minds effectively think of the possibilities. A nudge for eliminating "bad" thinking. Great vid.

  • they are watching you. go over violence. destructive thoughts. they are in your head. because they are a part of your reality. when I made all of this up in my dream. wake up young sleeping warrior. the might oak was once a sleeping acorn.

  • im pleased to saw this video that motivated me to go on and dont give up

  • dude who ever said he had a speach problem i never heard that he does have an accent thow

  • wickid!!! thats well amazin.

  • Most amazing thing I have ever seen. Imagine what else the human mind is capable of....The CIA ,FBI, KGB and MI-5 will surely try to get him to work for them....And even though he is troubled by ordinary communication, I wager that he will become a very wealthy man indeed, due to his singular ability to "photograph" with his mind whatever he sees.

  • @quantumforce100 He is a man of PEACE!!! not 4 Speculators!!

  • @quantumforce100 If hes that good, he should be left alone by those scum agency... dont they have done enough harm without recruiting artist also for their little kid wars.

  • Excellent documentary they called him the Human Camera. Just awe inspiring.

  • has this been featured yet? If not, it should be. This is so amazing!

  • 3.50 Minor innacuracies my arse. With something that amazing there can be no mistakes

  • I'm awe-struck, not only could he memorize everything so accurately, but he could draw it without hesitation! I am humbled by his abilities.

  • ¡awsome!

  • Beautiful, God blessed this guy with enormous talent.

  • A doubleedged blade...

One the one side he can print really good and remember hard details.

One the other side he is mental sick. Communication as said in the movie is really hard for him. It is really hard for him.

  • THAT IS SUPER COOL!!

  • sweet

  • wow thats amazing, i mean wow...

  • dang he deserves an award for this. Brilliant guy!

  • I saw this once on discovery channel.

  • I always wonder if autism is the new step in human evolution. People like Steve show us the unexplored capabilities of human brain - simply amazing!

  • @ziefik Bobby Fischer too.

  • @ziefik Autism is not a step into human evolution simply because chances are people Steven will never have children because of his lack of other social skills. If they/he did then your statement might be true. However - what he did was awesome and it was simply amazing.

  • @ziefik I think every human being is capable of that. Still, it's not likely that we WILL get any more than the 10% of our brain's ability if we keep living the stupid life we do these days.

It seems autism cracks the barriers by force, giving accesss to some amazing stuff, but it comes along with damages in other areas, it's pretty violent.

  • wow wow wow

uh! im speechless, thats so incredible-its an honor to have watched this!!

  • yeah i guess its pretty good

    just kidding

man, this guy is so talented

  • That is so amazing, i can hardly remember what i did a few days ago.

    Respect!.

  • wow, that's so amazing!

  • amazing!

how can u remember all that?!

  • FANTASTIC!!!!

    APPLAUSE!!!

    beautiful..genius mind

  • this guy is awesome

  • that is just amazing what a talent!

  • That's a very nice artistic gift.

  • man, you're amazing!

  • Steven;

You have an amazing gift! WOW!! Don't ever let anyone doubt your talent! You really do have a beautiful mind. May you continue to see the beauty of life everyday

  • is he autistic? he just receives raw information without any filtering? omfg!

  • Wow you have the memory of an Elephant!

  • it's true i heard about this guy

  • i applaud you Steven

  • hard to believe

  • i can't believe this

  • Use your own, or your boyfriends. and stop posting comments like that one. it's just annyoying.

  • phenomenal

  • I cant believe in this :D This is way too cool.I cant even remember where i leave my keys at night and search for them like fool next day or days :(

  • you to?

  • Yes even i have the special ability to forget things in moments!

  • awesome, but I think he suck in other things. yeah, that is what I think about savants, they are amazing in something but terrible in others. so all the people can be good in something, only need to practice

  • unbelievable!!!

  • ow i can do that :P

joking dont shout at me u wierd ppl who take everything seriously

  • hahahah!

  • awesome

  • Lol @ what is his name....stephen ,, stephen the commentry man is sayn it again n again....open ur ears ..steeephen lol imao

  • wow

  • What is his name? Awesome details. How long he drew the whole picture? TIA.

  • his name is in the video near the end, Stephen ?? it comes up on the right side and initially is not easily visible. You may need to watch it 1-2 times to catch it.

  • Stephen Wiltshire. I think he is some kind of Savant. Whatever...he's brilliant!

  • I just watched a documentary about him on BBC...incredible mind! I was amazed!

  • cool

  • this is amazing

  • holy smoke

  • thats scary

  • Amazing. I am always happy for people who are challenged with a disability, and yet they could still come out with some thing positive out of it.

  • that's really a beautiful mind

  • waaaw how beautiful o3o

  • that is just ridiculous. how anyone can do that is incredible. especially the colliseum.

  • genius is a form of autism or the other way around.

  • :O that's sooo cool!!

  • i got a new digital camera the other day it works kinda the same way

  • smart ass

  • wow! that's awesome...

  • OMFG, this is so AMAZING... DX damn

  • there are a lot of downsides to becoming a savant thru surg, 1)lack of social ability, 2)icreased chance of brain damage in crucial parts of the brain(one thing that comes to mind is thought), 3)inability to peerform simple daily tasks. yes it would be great to be able to remember everything that we see, and then we could paint an exact picture of what we just saw, but to try and do so would take away apart of what makes us human, and hold back on innovation because savant doesn't mean creative.

  • thats some crazy shit man...

that is an awesome job! I am very impressed!

  • I think I saw this on TV a few months back! it's amazing how the mind works, eh?

  • this is incredible.

  • woah!

  • thats cool

  • The urban myth that humans use just 10% of their brains is just that a myth. Seriously what would be the biological advantage of having 90% of your brain as a complete piece of useless shit?

Though we don't use it all at once, if we did however, that would be called a seizure.

Savants tend to have very specialised brains with many neurons and neuron heads (grey matter) but with less connections (white matter) between the two hemispheres of the brain.

  • would it be possible to (through surgery) make more and more connections between the two sides, to make our brains more productive?

over the last few months ive had an increasing interest this piece of machinery we all have :)

  • Possibly through implantation of stem cells.

  • Read Robert Anton Wilson's 'Prometheus Rising' for information on much less painful ways of achieving increased right/left brain communication, as well as some fascinating speculations on what this might mean for human kind.

  • unbelievable

  • WOW, the mind is a wonderful place. I have been told that my mind is like an inner ghetto, I should never go in there alone, especially late at night. I end up mugging myself. SO I take a friend....

  • I'm also autistic, mine's called PDD-NOS

I remember things also, but not that great as him

  • you shouldnt believe what they tell you, the're all lies, they don't know how complicated the mind is

  • amazing..

  • wow

  • my god!!!this is absolutely unbelievable!!!

  • how did he get so good at drawing?!

    that's amazing.

  • the drawing hability is a consequence of having good memory with pictures, its my opinion, but i realy sure of that.

  • WATCH THIS VIDEO. KAMRAN

  • hes got very good eyesight

    lol all the details ...

  • he did something that is impossible for us
