  • This was shot while the band was performing a private event sponsored by Revlon. This would have been 1996 or 1997, I can check if anyone is interested in the exact date.

The musicians are Bill Perry~guitar and vocals, 'Papa' John Mole~ Drums, Dean Scala~rhythm guitar and Gil Cruz~bass

  • I used to tend bar at the M&R pub, an sound they hadd these guy's used to light the place up on the weekends. What a

  • Back in the 80's a friend who knew Billy brought him over to check out my guitar. His two minute strum of Castle's Made of Sand 1) made me realize my guitar could do the things I couldn't get it do and 2) gave me an extreme sense of humility. Maybe some folks who saw the shows at the Interlude in Rockland County are on this board and remember the 'Isabella' band. One of the few able to cover Hendrix well and a friendly guy without any aires and open to those who appreciated his guitar work.

  • sonovabi*ch can play!

    mmmm now that's a tone

and well ... telecasters are the coolest guitar ever so.... yeah i approve

  • 2 years have gone by, I still miss you. (RIP)

  • I went to HS with Billy. He could play any song in any style and did every week at HS dances we used to have in Chester NY. He would play and sing everything from Hendrix, Zep, Stones, Who, and then go right to Kool and the Gang (Hollywood Swinging!) and other funk, R&B & Blues... amazing singer and guitarist from a very tender age. I used to stand in awe of the guy during these dances. Never saw him as a pro. A regret.... RIP, Billy (Bro)!

I should have taken you up on your offer...

  • I'm trying to find Bill's song "Jack, Johnny and Jim". Any thoughts? I can't find it...

  • this fucking rules

Thanks ....keep this music alive Bro.

  • Rest in Peace, my friend (so many of us, really)....Bill Perry...

  • I think of you often Bill, your energy always inspired me

  • Miss you man!! God bless you!!

  • Rock on, Bill. Greycourt! I'm so glad I had a chance to see you play a few times live...

  • He used to joke years ago (in the spirit of the famous late bluesman "Missisippi John Hurt," a name he loved), that he should change his name to "Greycourt Billy Hurt!" ...

    Rest in peace, Billy.

  • powerfull voice

  • does anybody know his configuration? his set?

amp? pedals? effects? very nice overdrive/distortion! sounds beautiful

  • We need a DVD of the whole of this show. It seems to be the only professional clip on You Tube. Can someone please release something...and in the UK as well please. Great loss.

  • What a terrible loss. I was just surfing for info about Bill Perry after seeing him on a PBS Blues show. I really thought he was destined for great things. He was superb!

  • Thanks for posting this awesome video! Bill's bands had several incarnations over the years and this era was certainly one of the best! Miss you Mr. Bill, your love for the music lives on.

  • bill was a hell of a player and a guy.

he was the alpha male on and offstage.

very sad day when i got the call about him passing.

I had one of his guitars for a while, a kick ass customshop gibson 356 after his endorsement deal with gibson went down the tubes. he tried to trade me his les paul for it and i turned him down. later i traded it for another guitar...wishing now i hadnt.

  • best bluesman ever .. great guy ... great guitarist ... wishing for more professionally filmed footage!

  • What a great song and such a sad loss. I play this song with my band in and around London. At the end of the set there is always a queue of people asking who wrote this song. It is our pleasure to keep the memory of Bill Perry alive.
