  • I was so excited about this. And than a few weeks later: Microsoft bought Rare! Probably Rares biggest mistake ever to sell themselves to Microsoft.

  • I was so looking forward to this... lol.

  • this would have been so fun

  • I would love for either Nintendo or Retro Studios to make this title if it's possible.

  • @Cyberwolf087 I don't know if Microsoft is willing to hand out characters like Taj.

  • Well, Rare is alive. Since it was making some games for Nintendo DS, like Diddy Kong Racing DS.

Also, I found this on Mario Wiki: ''They are currently discussing with Microsoft about working with Nintendo once again to develop games for the Nintendo 3DS.''

So, it's possible to we see some Donkey Kong Awesome games soon.

  • I found Rare's facebook page

    facebook RareLtd?sk=wall

    let spam it about this

  • cuando vi este juego la primera vez las graficas me impactaron ahora solo veo grandes cubos ,comparado con las graficas de ahora.

  • I'd love a DK crossover game that has all the characters from the Countrys and 64.

...but it's not going to happen is it?

  • Rare fuck you, go back making dk games, conquer must have been in ssbm with banjo, maybe than rare would have stayed, but seriously, make dk games, and why in the fuck this wasnt released?

  • Diddy Kong racing was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Mario kart 64. Not to mention my Conker sequel and banjo theeie never happening. Fuck you Microsoft

  • Diddy's "Yee-Haaaaaw" kinda sounds like Goose's Yee-Haaaaaw" from Pilotwings 64.

  • fuck M$

  • actaully rare sold themselves its not microsofts fault rare ruined themselves (and no i'm not a fanboy thats what happened)

  • come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • Microsoft fuck you. Thanks for the nice computer but you should have fucking let rare be, :'C so many great games that would have been made.

  • Well, the game exists somewhere. Definitely unfinished I'm sure, but it's still irritating to know it's out there. :/

  • i cried

  • Think of how much fun this game would have been if it wasn't cansalled

  • pls retro studios... pls make more donkey kong games!!

  • @preiselbaer93 retro studios? dnt u mean rareware xD

  • @TailsDoll77 Hmm.. Well, Rare made Donkey Kong 64 and it was kinda awesome. But I think Microsoft sucked the life out of Rare. Retro made DKC Returns and I love it! They're doing a great job with Metroid and Donkey, I hope they'll make tons of games. :D

  • @preiselbaer93 Rare made a lot more than DK64. Them and Nintendo were bffs. Tons of awesome games for nintendo consoles.

  • I really wish this came out...

  • This game was one of the reasons I wanted a Gamecube. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed when it was canned after MS bought out Rare.

  • That hard cut to "Let's Ride" gave me a boner.

  • @VideoGameWalk nintendo definiately have dk, but they dont have rare. the company that made all the dk country games. microsoft bought them.

  • damn this looked great. the bee part looked just like the speeder part of Return of the Jedi. haha.

  • i think they should still make this. for the wii

  • 1:02 CHUNKY LOOKED LIKE A BABY!!

  • @legokidcam dat ain't chunky mate O_o

  • @legokidcam thats kiddy kong bro.... from donkey kong country 3

  • @jokerman693 Ah. I never played it.

  • @legokidcam bummer. the DKC games were great. all of 'em

  • I remember seeing this on the back of the box when i bought my gamecube

  • "LET'S RIDE."

Best tagline i've ever seen in a racing game, RELEASE THIS NOW!!!

  • And this is the last time you will ever see Kiddy Kong

    AGAIN </3

  • DK and Taj riding the Zingers through the forest reminds me of Return of the Jedi speeder bikes

  • fuck microsoft. rare haven't done any good games with microsoft. but with nintendo on the other hand, there was the real deal.

  • You're saying that this game never existed? What a shame. I would love to play this game.

  • KIDDIE KONG! A BUNCH OF OLD DK CHARACTERS!

Goddammit, Microsoft. You have the most money out of all 3 main video game companies, you didn't need to do this just to get more. So much good games, and Microsoft f*cked it all up.

  • the last kong u c on the intro is kiddy kong

  • @SHOCKGUMPRODUCTIONS its Diddy kong with a D

  • We'd have many more good Donkey Kong games if Microsoft didn't buy Rare...

    More Conker...

    More Banjo...

    DIE MICROSOFT, DIE!

  • @OMGCHOPSTICKSFTW the 360 is junk

  • SO THIS IS WHAT THAT WAS! I had seen this when I was like 7 on tv or something and I had always wondred whether it was a proper game or not XD

  • Maybe banjo kazoie nuts and bolts would have been good if microsoft didnt buy rare

  • They should make Gamecube games again.

  • microsoft ruined Rare...

  • Aww I miss when tiny kong was tiny!

  • you know what would be cool if rare was a 3rd party developer

  • fuck u bill gates microsoft sucks

  • @theDarklord22235 You're on a Microsoft computer

  • 0:30. Mario's beta scream.

  • This game would have raped the Nintendo market so hard..

    Why MICROSHIT!? WHY!?!?!?!?

  • Taj cracked me up.

  • This woudn't have been so much better than fucking Donkey Konga.

  • OH MY GOD, MICROSOFT KILLED RARE! YOU BASTARDS!

  • *cough* diddy kong racieng 2 *cough*

  • @MattDuesk no it would have been donkey kong racing , diddy kong racing is completly diffrent

  • and 10 years later Mario steal the idea of dive and fly

  • I would of played this. I would of played this so hard.

  • Comment removed

  • Why are all the best-looking games unreleased?

  • I wish Rare would go back to Nintendo and keep making AWESOME games!!! :(

  • @Dagon123A Microsoft demanded that RARE made nuts & bolts, not banjo-threeie and make banjo & kazooie look hideous. Grabbed by ghoulies and Kameo were gonna be released for gamecube until MS fucks it up. then again ghoulies would be a rip off of luigi's mansion. and viva pinata? MS demanded that RARE develops it. Oh, i forgot to mention that MS also demanded that there would be no Conker's other bad fur day instead, we get a shitty remake!

  • I wish it was released

  • I wish that this game would've come out.

  • 0:38 yiggggieeeee XD

  • Why doesn't Nintendo revive this project? They still own all things DK except for maybe Taj or whatever that blue hippo, elephant thing is.

  • 1:01 Star Wars speeder bike homage.

  • Diddy Kong Racing is my favorite kart racer ever.

Why do you have to ruin everything Microsoft?!

  • You've got to remember that nintendo happily gave up Rare, and about this video, It's a tech demo. It doesn't mean that the game would have came out, This was just used to show the power of the gamecube. Notice at all the things going on? Just there to show that it can handle it.

  • @AnimeOtakuStar Because Microsoft are nothing but a bunch of materialistic bastards who don't care about anyone but themselves and their company. and are jealous of Nintendo & Rareware's fame together so they devised a plan to kill their fame by buying out Rareware and hoping Nintendo screws up, which they did by buying a mediocre company called Retro Studios from Texas which fucks up both Metroid and Donkey Kong Country. Microsoft did a great job with fucking up Rareware. go to hell microsoft.

  • @thupermonkeyballs

    Wow really? You're Serious? xDDD

Some people, I love how everyone forgets to mention the fact that Microsoft gave Rare 100% creative control over there IP's,"Nothing good came from Rare after that" What about Grabbed by the Ghoulies? Viva Pinata? or Kameo? People are so quick to blame Microsoft everytime Rare screws up well guess what? RARE made Nuts & Bolts, RARE made PDZ, RARE made all their own failures, it happens, if anything, MS should be commended for holding onto them

  • 1:01 Lol the wasps from Conker's Bad Fur Day

  • @crashbfan23

No, the wasps from Donkey Kong Country. They are called Zingers. They came out first.

  • wow I never even heard about this game before today...this make me sad, its even got all the old characters from the country games

  • if nintendo never sold rare just imagine how many great games could have been released

  • 1:01 donkey kong jr. ?

  • @KKKARLOSPCgame

Kiddy, riding that elephant, from Country 3...

  • HOLY SHIT! I WANT TO RIDE A ZINGER!!

DAMN YOU MICROSOFT FOR KILLING OUR CHANCES TO RIDE ZINGERS!

  • DIE, MICROSOFT! DIE!

  • ok is there any reason why this WASNT released it would have been incredible! Diddy Kong racing was pretty sick!

  • I love how diddy has over sized animals

  • No dixie?! GET THE FUCK OUT. :)

  • In my opinion, this game could have been good, and if you say it looks bad then maybe it wouldn't have been. Remember that this game was under development. You can't really judge it.

  • this looks good by today's standards

  • 240p, we meet again!

  • Dammit, why did Microsoft have to buy out Rare!? This game looks liked it would have been so good.

  • @AnimeOtakuStar Yeah I remember I wanted that game. But it was actually best for Rare to leave Nintendo as most of its top developers who worked on games like 'Goldeneye 007' went on to form other studios. Have you seen the reviews for any of the Rare games for the XBox and XBox 360? The majority of them are very poor with the exception of 'Viva Pinnate', and from what I've heard it's mainly popular in Japan.

  • @AnimeOtakuStar

Nintendo still has the DK characters.

  • @AnimeOtakuStar You're forgetting, Nintendo's the one who SOLD them.

  • @MetroidJunkie2007 nintendo didnt necessarily sell rare. nintendo bought 49% of rare making rare a 2nd party developer for nintendo. rare sold their 51% to microsoft, then in return nintendo sold their 49% keeping their characters they let rare use such as donkey kong and star fox. it was still because of rare that theyre under microsofts hands now.

  • @minidre Okay, then it's Rare's fault. The people wishing death on Microsoft are STILL shooting up the wrong tree.

  • Hey guys, look! Volarknight and tottle91 are fighting! They suck!

  • I really don't think there was all that much to Donkey Kong Racing, its not as if were talking canned nearly finished project here. And if Nintendo was really desperate to see it finished they could have tapped someone else for the job. Would they seize their opportunity to finish it now? I don't know. Isn't there a limit on the number of kong themed racers the market can hold?

  • @FlyingDuckMan360 Nor could you get away with that in Mario Kart Wii!

  • This game would've been better than that piece of bullshit Mario Kart Wii ever was!

  • LMAO an elephant riding a rhino...

  • So the reason Nintendo Shited on their original plot for SF Adventures was because rareware left them or was planning to at this time?

    I think they should make a game staring only Krystal, I mean storywise. They've done everyone else in the previous games -_-;

SF Adventures: Falco comes back after leaving in SF64

SF ASsault: Some touching moments between wolf n fox...

And WTF with multiple enddings in SF command?

  • I wonder what's up with the transition at the 20 second mark? Seems odd in a trailer.

  • I think this is why they made barrel blast...

  • Dude Nintendo would be raping everything if microsoft didn't buy rareware,

WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU NINTENDO!?!?!?

  • i hate microsoft for killing dk.

not saying the games now are bad but there are so few...

  • I'm still waiting for this kart adventure to come out and be the sequel Diddy Kong Racing deserves.

  • @IcaroMorse i am too

  • 0:54 Star Wars Episode 6!

  • And yet we got the freaking bongos

  • all that work for nothing

  • I want this. A kart/racing game with power-ups/weapons and adventure. Just like Diddy Kong Racing. I guess they thought it would compete with Mario Kart: Double Dash or something.

  • Did anyone noticed that the bee sounds like Banjo-bee in Banjo-Kazooie?

  • lol i thought this sed 2011

  • Volarknight its not a long trailer. They're might be more stuff that wasn't shown before Microsoft took rare.(that's why the game was cancelled)

  • 0:44 That's how Tiny SHOULD looK!!!

Not that grown up, slutty version of DKR DS!!!... AGH! they killed a memory of my childhood [¡^¡]

  • this game sucks, i did not see any nintendo action like items for example. Is this jst a race on animals, thats it? Theres so much more to be added, and the graphics are bad too

  • @Volarknight

    idiot

  • @tottle91 Repose you fool! How dare you defy me!!!

  • @Volarknight

It's the beginning intro of a game that was never made. It was a sequel to the fucking incredible Diddy Kong Racing. Watch the Diddy kong racing intro, there were no weapons or items in that either... Of course there would have been items..

  • Hmmm..Some of these graphics could of been achieved with the 64.

  • looks better than donkey kong country returns!

  • Wow, am I the only one here who realised that the theme tune to this was used in the opening scene of the GBA remake of Donkey Kong Country 2? (Although in a major key, and not a minor key)

  • @theultimatekoopa2 No, it was also used for Jungle Japes in Donkey Kong 64, for Donkey Kong Isle in Diddy Kong Racing DS and for Jungle in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2, as well as for Donkey Kong Country returns. It's something like "Donkey Kong theme", that Nintendo stoled from Rare, who stoled from David Wise.

  • @walecs2 Listen to the DKC2 GBA opening.

  • @theultimatekoopa2 Indeed, this was composed for DKC2. I said "no" because "no, you're not the only who noticed that" :)

  • @walecs2 It was only in the GBA port right?

  • @theultimatekoopa2 I think that. I'm not sure.

  • This game was showed at the back of the GameCube's box. I was like, when will this come out??? But, it could've been as kiddish as Diddy Kong racing so maybe it's better like this.

  • @ChampionRevilo Er... Diddy's Kong Racing WAS Donkey Kong Racing, I think.

  • @theultimatekoopa2 Nope. DK Racing was going to be a sequel

  • @ChampionRevilo *facepalm* ... why did I think Diddy Kong Racing was a GameCube game when it was released in 1997 for the N64?

  • i like how this game had the recent characters from its time Kiddy and Tiny i know dixie would of been there too xD

  • Right after I was born I was born on July 29.

  • Seeing this makes me want to cry! I wish this damn game would have been made! It would have been AWESOME!!!

  • This game should've been released instead of star fox advantures

  • I should kill the developers for not making this game. Diddy Kong Racing was made. Jeez.... Rareware/Rare better get their heads on right. They're still working on that kinect crap. They need to get back to making game sequels...

  • @Josh59906 yea and diddy kong racing sucked. It was something to keep you busy, but not something to play forever...one thing I did like was the Elephant with the Indian accent.what was his name?T.J?

  • @BoomhaurReplica7 I think so. Can't really remember becuase its been a while since I played it on my N64. Diddy Kong Racing was an ok game. I liked the characters that were added. The racing was fun, but the adventure can become frusfrating.

  • diddy kong lolz

  • i wouldve got this game cause they have the old tiny kong

  • FUCK YOU MICROSOFT, FUCK YOU

  • Kiddy kong was going to be in this game too!!!!!! DAMNIT RARE!!!! WHY!!!

  • A sequal with crappy details in sound graphics and gameplay: ITS PERFECT! =D now please release it before i become emo enough the slit my own neck....

  • didn't this turn into barrel blast?

  • wasn't something similar for the Wii? I saw multiple trophies in brawl.

  • Hmmmm, interesting.... Shame it wasn't released.

  • Well one good thing we got out of Rare breaking from Nintendo.. Nintendo got the rights to DK and thus we got all these cool games.

But they could have done that on their own later on.. Damn you Microsoft.

  • @TheEscapedBalloon Nintendo always owned the rights to Donkey Kong.

  • Nintendo should finish this and release it for the 3DS.

  • @clickherenao cant rare is gone for nintendo. D:

  • @clickherenao Agreed. It'd be better than Barrel Blast (or Jet Race)

  • @clickherenao cant rare is gone from nintendo, stupid xbox bought it.

  • In only dream now that Nintendo buys for cheap classic Rare licence (Conker, Banzo & Kazooie, etc.) and turn me with their old magic into something fresh and new :)

  • @etbadaboum like retro studio did with donkey kong country return.

  • It's truely a shame...

  • This game would have been AMAZING!!

  • i would have paid 100dls for this, just reales it nintendo...

  • I would have loved this. Just take out the fucking elephant genie, please?

  • Fuck Microsoft!? What about rare? Rare is the one who sold its self to Microsoft. Not to mention all of the key employees that where behind its blockbuster games had left rare because it turned into a shit company. So I say this.

    FUCK RARE.

  • @turgo82 no no no no no, both of you are completely wrong.

Nintendo sold Rareware to microsoft because Rareware's games were dropping in quality and were nothing but ripoffs of existing games.

Killer instincts was a Mortal Kombat clone

Banjo Kazooie was a Mario 64 clone

Diddy Kong racing was a Mario Kart clone

Dinosaur planet(before it was turned to SFA) was a Zelda clone

    Battletoads was a TMNT clone.

And you know what? Rareware is still making clones but for MS this time.

  • @Segador128 really now.... well that makes sense. I could tell there quality has definitely gone down hill.

  • @Segador128 dude fuck u, they were awesome man

  • @theplrbear1028 I never said they weren't you nastalgia goggle wearing ignoramus.

I was posting facts on why Nintendo sold Rareware to Microsoft, because Rareware was starting to suck in the mid to late 90's and early 2000 and were making nothing but clones of successful established franchises.

And the few original titles like Grabbed by ghoulies was critically panned and sold horribly.

  • @Segador128

What are you talking about about??

Between 1995-2001 is when RareWare was at it's peak!

Do I seriously need to remind you of the epic games they made in that timeframe?

The only time they started to suck was when microSHAT bought them and destroyed their company name and reputation.

  • @TheCORE87 So you are willing to believe Nintendo sold Rareware to MS for no apparent reason?

One of the most important aspects in game making is creativity and Rareware was lacking this big time, Nintendo saw that Rareware was falling and sold them to Microsoft.

And yeah, Nintendo is the one who sold them for the reasons I stated below.

From 1995 to 2001 all Rareware did was reuse already successful formula's instead of making their own unique games. Jet Force Gemini are their creative peaks.

  • @Segador128

First of all, it wasn't Nintendo's decision to let Rareware go.

Rare's owner's decided to to sell the company when Microsoft put up a buy price (which happened to be a record buy about $400 million).

Once Rare's publishing agreement was over with Nintendo, Microsoft had seen that they could buy one of the greatest game making coompanies of all time, and they didn't hesitate.

The reason why they were sold was not because the quality of their games, but because of corporate greed

  • @TheCORE87 Rareware being the greatest game making company of all time is a stretch.

And Rareware was doomed from the moment Perfect Dark was beginning development , Key members left Rareware after that and created Free Radical which is now Crytek UK. And Nintendo owned half of Rareware so selling it was both Stamper brothers decision and Nintendo's. MS paid 375 million for Rareware.

MS isn't the reason Rareware games are bad now, Rareware is the reason Rareware is bad.

  • @Segador128

If Rareware was so bad at making videogames, then why did nearly all of their games made on the N64 get really good reviews and get so popular.

    What games?

Banjo Kazooie, Goldeneye 007, Banjo-Tooie, Donkey Kong 64, perfect dark.

All these games raked in Nintendo money and brought Rare to fame.

Saying Rare's games were bad is a severe understatement, and I think many people out there would agree with me.

But everyone has different opinions, and your entitled to yours...

  • @TheCORE87 Left out Conker, he deserves some credit. But yeah, Rare was great... Until Microsoft turned it into Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts and Grabbed by the Ghoulies...It's not the same anymore...
