Bangladesh is a developing country no doubt about that but to achieve the ultimate goal of sovereignty, we need to ecnomically progress and sustain parity, in order to do this our military have to take a firm stance and develop nuclear arsenals be it help from e.g. N Korea, then only then india will stop bullying us and for pakistan they will never be able to do or say anything that will really undermine us. @ajmolaliful BDesh is part of the Next 11 so there is room for optimism. I just don't want us to sink into that "let's go back to basics and become a jihad state" mentality. It's important that we develop as much as possible, and the key areas will be health, education, environment and TRADE. Considering we have such a high population density, I'd love to see a huge increase in the science/tech sector - at least in terms of involvement if not expenditure (which we can't afford yet).

Their only real interest in BD will be for strategic purposes but we can make it a hell of a useful alliance for us if we get their know-how and tech in return for "usage" of our ports. India is not helpful in any way shape or form in this respect.

It's important that we develop as much as possible, and the key areas will be health, education, environment and TRADE. Considering we have such a high population density, I'd love to see a huge increase in the science/tech sector - at least in terms of involvement if not expenditure (which we can't afford yet).

Firstly.. India and Bangladesh are allies. India was the only country to help Bangladesh during their struggle against West Pakistan. India is the first country to send food aid to Bangladesh whenever a cyclone strikes.
Secondly... Kashmir is very much under India's control. Muslim insurgents are only capable of launching terrorist attacks against Hindus.
Thirdly... if there is a war between India & Bangladesh (highly unlikely), India can easily take down Bangladesh.
