clarification: I'm not saying that the military works for us the same way that the Congress & Pres do. I'm saying that Mission One of the military is to protect we "stupid civilians." Our taxes do pay for the military, but I do not view our military personnel primarily as our employees. There is something sacred and noble about our military that goes beyond employer-employee. No one has affection for the DOT. Many of us have great affection for those in the military. There is a difference.

As a former Solder and cadet, I would like to say:

1. it would be pretty cool to meet the President regardless of who it is. I don't agree with the person however the office is very awesome/terrible.

2. Knowing most of the cadets there many of them wouldn't care that its President Bush, with all the hoop jumping/ass kissing they would have to do, it would be more like "WE GOT THE DAY OFF I CAN FINALLY CATCH UP WITH SHIT!"
