  • I agree with the taser being a 'lazy' solution but we can't blame cops for this. We give them the laws and dictate ethical parameters involved in their enforcement. I don't think, "Here put this helmet on so you don't injure yourself while I taser you" would work anywhere but a Louis CK episode.

  • Mahr is the Carlin of my generation. He articulates his thoughts on any given subject succinctly while incorporating the thoughts and opinions of others.

  • @thegreatbungholio21 You may be a huge Maher fan boy, and thats cool and all, but people won't remember Maher 50 years from now, they will remember Carlin.

  • i regret not watching this when i had HBO all those years ago

  • Mayor Booker had nothing interesting to say.

  • Currently right now off the coast Santa Barbara there is a natural crack in the ocean floor that leak oil into the ocean. If California would reduce its regulations on the oil companies and allow them to expand their operations off the coast, it would relieve the pressure from that natural crack. Yes I am saying allowing for more off shore drilling off the coast would actually be better for the California's coast line. What you think about that you damn hippies.

  • geez, cory booker is just busting bill's nuts here. hes trying to be funny but corys so serious and has to give his 2cents about everything.

  • maher is a loser

  • @thebeatles826

Bill maher is NOT a loser he is the only one in the media that states the truth and has balls to do so.

  • Very nice job. Informative as usual.

  • good

  • both parties have been compromised. Follow the money. there are some individuals on both sides that are not (yet). But the PARTY is two heads of the same snake.

  • @lezlitaz you are so right. it's a two headed beast.

  • Abolish TASERS

The idea was first sold to us as an ALTERNITIVE to deadly force, whereas police could use tasers in place of justified firearm usage. It has since evolved in to a punishment for non-compliance.

In my opinion, only the courts should determine punishment for a violation. I also believe that a taser victim should pursue it to a higher court, and claim double jeopardy. Punished twice for the same offence.

  • @wvguy8258: A rare find indeed.

  • This oil spill was completely under Obama's watch and administration, so when Issa drew that into sharp relief, Bill Maher switched topics.

Having been in the military from 1969 to 1975, if a military tribunal is good enough for members in the military, help me understand why it is not due process for a military tribunal to try terrorists?

  • @JohnLloydScharf Bill Maher is pissed at Obama for not doing anything about this oil spill, you know.

  • @JohnLloydScharf @JohnLloydScharf You may not know this or care so much about this, but Bill did give Obama hard time for not doing enough or more regarding this oil spill, and frankly, i agree with him. It wasn't Obama's fault when Oil spill took place, but it is his responsibility now to take control of this because this is what will destroy his presidency, not his policies.

  • @JohnLloydScharf Then give them due process. Due process involves the reading of Miranda Rights.

  • @JohnLloydScharf having severed in the military from 1990-1994(hon.) and having first hand knowledge of the military court system. i will tell you that the military tribunal is not good enough for our soldiers. It is has become the most politically charged "courtroom" in our country. Every decision is looked at from the angle of what the future ramifications of the decision will be not if justice is being served that day.
