Is water squirting from the mud or sand indicates a geoduck? I was at the beach last week and was fishing and noticed 3 long (4-5ft high)water squirt coming from the ground.
I just got my 3 yr old a plastic shovel for the beach, can I just say you enlightened him on the whole concept ....were going to the beach this week. and Im sure that the image of to male figures working together is a good image and in a way ..learning under the olive tree
also I am 6'3" and pretty solid, scooping out a geoduck is no joke, they seem to suck down the further you try to dig them out, but once you grab a hold of one its a tackle and a battle
well I think the Geoduck was around 2 1/2 feet down, and I scooped it out, my forearms were tired. I pull out this huge clam looking thing with a pipe sticking out, and I'm thinking to myself, "What the hell is this thing" and my brother looks at it says, '' That is a Geoduck I've seen them on the show Dirty Jobs" I think to myself, really this was a dirty job digging this thing up. lol
@wozler No way you dug geoducks with your hands! i have dug GDucks for years and have NEVER seen anybody use their hands. Shovels and big tubes are the norm for sport harvest of ducks.
