@Shawnisky I had the factory 18" polished Bullit wheels. You can usually find these for sale for around 300-400 a set.

I love the look of the cars. I was at a ford dealer to trade my truck in. They had all their GT500 on the floor.

I was so tempted to get one. Hahaha. Maybe one day. I will probably get one used in a couple of years.

And see if i can improve their suspension. I read that the suspension in these mustangs is old.

Like the designs are 30-40 years old. Thats the only thing that worries me about these cars.

Its pointless having all that horse power if you dont have control.

You're referring to the solid rear axel. Most sports cars use indepedent rear suspension (IRS).

The difference isn't that big, especially on a mustang. Ford dropped the IRS because it would make the car lighter, 5000$ MSRP cheaper, and well yeah.

Most people don't need IRS, especially a straight running car like the Mustang. But if you want a performance car and take it out on the track, you're better off looking at a different car.

And by the way, judging something by the age is a bit foolish. The V8's in these engines have technology just as old as your grandpa. Only recently with on-board computers, digital tuning, fuel injection, etc do they perform any better than their variants from the late 60's.

Even then, they guzzle as much gas. If you're afraid of buying 'old technology' go wait and buy a toyota electric hybrid sports car.

I hve a 2008 Bullitt and it has a solid rear and it handles very nicely..

Honestly, people make a bigger deal out of the solid rear than it deserves. Its old, but on a car like this I wasn't expecting to carve corners. Very few will be able to drive you car and tell for sure if you have a solid rear or IRS until they hit a small bump, especially going around a corner. I've felt it a few times, you just have to be aware its there. In fact a solid rear is better for drag racing I believe
