Saw Maria recently at Joe's Pub in NYC....she played this amazing song....her voice is every bit as great today as it ever was...I've seen many, many live shows and only a few entertainer make me shudder in awe...Maria makes me weak!!! She is possibly the best female vocalist living today

I saw Lone Justice back in the 80's at a club in RI. It was the single most impressive vocal performance I have seen. And I have seen 200 plus shows. Maria does not need a mike. Her voice is that powerful. Major thanks for posting this.

I'm from New Bedford. Where did you see them? I live in L.A. now and saw her about 5 years ago out here and she was amazing as usual. The only person I've ever seen who could sing as well as her live is Ann Wilson from Heart. Saw Heart twice last summer and Ann sounds as good today as she did in the 1970s. Do you like Toni Childs? Another distinctive, amazing singer--a true great.

I cannot recall the name but it was in Warwick. It may have been the very same club that burned up in the Great White show. From the video shot before the fire I noticed some similar features, wood that looked like a corral, the entry/exit door on the side. It was under a different name, years later. Horrible to think. I lived in Danielson, Ct at the time of the Lone Justice show.

Ann is amazing but I had a crush on Nancy in my youth. Will have to investigate Toni C. Peace.

That place was called the Station. The only other place in Warwick I can think of is the Warwick Musical Theatre, which was torn down, but that was an Amphitheatre-type place.  Do check out Toni Childs, I think you will like her--very interesting voice. Watch the video for I've Got to Go Know. All three of her albums are great, but they get crazier as they go along. The last one reminds me of Marie's Hgh Dive--lots of challenging, inventive, daring stuff. Cheers, Christopher!

Maria was a rare, blazing, blissful, intensity back then. She was maybe 23/24 years old. She was one of those people, the first time you saw her, you knew. So fantastic to see and feel her performances again from that time (1986/87)..in those days, she would crowd surf, yodel, jump and prance like you thought you would never see. Bless you Maria!
