I see a lot of comments about oil getting to the engine. Since there is no oil in the crankcase (which means that it's not in the engine) then you do have to wait for it to get to the engine since it's with the fuel

if you get these scooters your in for a bucket of problems. I have had a xg 550 for about 6 months now when it came in there were 2 bolts and a tire spacer missing. fuel lines were put on backwords the return line was sucking instead of sending it back. bearing went in the first week. one of the sprocket screws broke. brakes suck dick my foot works better. save your money for a goped thats what i`m doing. buy local not from the chinks in china working in shitty shacks in there backyard.

Maybe you have the chain too tight or maybe something is rubbing on the tire or causing resistance. Make sure that the brakes aren't holding you back either. A lot of times people just don't have things set up quite right and that's why they have problems. Whatever the case when it comes to Chinese scooters - never rely on the manufacturer to set up your scooter for you. You need to go over it yourself when you take it out of the box. Good Luck.

Check you tire pressure, make sure it's the amount of psi it says on the tire and make sure you followed the fuel mixture and mix it well before putting it in the tank.

Its a 2 stroke and the oil is in the gas but you still need to let the motor warm up for 45 sec or so to get up to operating temp. If you just start and go you're beating your motor.2nd the harder you beat your engines ass while the it is cold, the more damage you will do.

let the oil get to the engine? two minutes? the fuel is inside the engine when you started it and the oil lubricates the moving parts, so its already there as well. the warmup time is to loosen the fuel lines to allow more fuel into the engine and refrain the scooter from shutting off during your "joyride"
