  • I'm so happy that someone sent me to this. I will be trying this.

  • Thanks for posting.

  • Okay, so let me make sure I got it right. You have to keep adding water and getting as much milk out as possible. Eventually , when you add water and cook, no milk will come out, but you will get oil?

  • Interesting choice of music. Very helpful video, going to try this.

  • WOW! i'll add this to my fav list ^_^

  • This is good info to have. Thanks for posting.

  • You're welcome.

  • How much oil do you get from one coconut?

  • great job.

  • Thank you.

  • I've made this a few times too, but it is a lot of work to even get a small amount of oil. I used 10 coconuts to get 1 full cup of oil but took at least 2 hours of work. It is not raw either. I now buy raw organic as it's only $15 / litre so its worth saving the time to me :)

  • This is just a way of doing it not the way you should do it.:-)

  • How long until this goes bad??? just wondering if u shuld add a preservative.... yea=D

  • I've never needed a preservative.

  • I have a lot of Coconut powder; can I use that to

    make the oil?

    Thanks so much!

  • I've only worked with a coconut and I actually do not see it working out the same, but nothing beats a failure but a try. Tell me how it turns out or post a video.

  • EXCELLENT!!!!!

  • how come its not solid?

  • I tried to make the coconut oil! It didn't come out right. It got think and burned. I don't know what I did wrong. Can you recommened a book of making coconut oil?

  • I am sorry that happened. Some people say cook it until the cream becomes brown, I don't because it smells like burnt coconut. When I see the first signs of it browning I remove it from the heat and strain the oil. I can't recommened a book, but I did search the web and found another way of doing it. I'll try it and if it comes out right, I'll post it for you.

  • I love this vid! You made Virgin coconut oil! How often do you make coconut oil? How long did it take to make the oil? Do you cook with it too? Thanks :D

  • Thank you. I make mine every two weeks and it takes 30-40 minutes to make. No, I do not cook with it. I make mine for hair and body products.

  • I agree, it will expensive and time consuming for soapmaking. I use it for my hair, lotions, and body butters.
