Also everyone's right about Chris...they couldnt make it work even after 21 years so clearly they werent meant to be! I think they were always meant to just be really great friends and they were probably perfect for each other in high school but then they grew up and realized they wanted different things in a relationship
@MD32196 lorelai told chris 'you are the guy i want to want' but she doesn't want him. ever since i started watching the show i wanted her and luke to get together. i HATED the entire 7th season because they were apart. that last moment between them with the kiss, when i watched it i actually cried. same for when lorelai sang 'i will always love you' to luke (see my other vid) they are just so perfect together, im sad they waited till the end with this cuz we didn't get to see more :(
This kiss and the one where they get back together after their breakup in season 5 are the two best ones out of all the times they kissed! I think that it's implied that they got married because how I imagine them now is with 2 twins- a boy and a girl and living in either the twikham house or the house Emily & Richard bought for them

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! Everytime I start watching one episode, I get into this habbit of watching it every hour of every day. I love how it shows a normal everyday mother/daughter relationship with love and familyconflicts. I especially love Luke/Loralei and Rory/Jess! And in this clip, I LOVE Sookie! "This is all Luke. He made me promise not to tell you, but I don't care..." She is so great. I really miss this show, it reminds me of my own life, and I love that!
The best thing about season 7 is Luke. He has matured, he goes after the things he wants, he is not afraid of change anymore. I think his daughter is the best thing that happened to him. She opened him up.

The ending to the show made me cry, because not only was it coming to an end, but Rory should've been with Jess, and Lorelai and Luke should've been married. I'd like to think that this happened in the Gilmore Universe, down the line.

Their are two reasons I hated the finale of Gilmore girls. Reason number 1 rory should have said yes to Logan and reason number 2 lorelie should have married Chris!
@thebug707 I disagree there. Lorelai and Luke are meant to be together since episode 1. Lorelai and Chris were never a good fit in this part of their lives, it was never really right.
Logan wanted to make Rory his wife, but Rory isn't a wife, she's a carreer woman who wants to stand on her own two feet.
@essyluv you're absolutely and definately right!!!! between luke and lorelai is a longstanding friendship since rory was born. luke is like a father for rory - he saw her grow up, he never forgot about rory's birthday. chris and lorelai may have loved each other when they were 16 and lorelai became pregnant - but they became older and the character of both of them turned in another way, as for example emily had dreamt about it.
@essyluv luke and lorelai combines trust and true love. i think, there was always still more than a friendship - but both of them had some relationships and the circumstances just didn't permit ;-)

I hated all the shit they put Luke and Lorelai through in season 7. It all started when April came in season 6. it's not her fault of course but Luke was a complete JERK. He was always so amazing and sure, finding out you have a kid would change your life but he was acting so out of character! and then she slept with Christopher and GAHH!!! I just hate what they did to them. Luke and Lorelai were always so good together. I don't care if they're back together, I will always remember this shit :(

I think they were planning to have Luke and Lorelai slowly get back together in season 8. The break-up was done so they could get them back to the "Will They or Won't They?" stage (explains the OOCness in Season 6&7) then when the show was cancelled they had to quickly hook them up. I do think the finale was sub-par. But this perfectly sums up Luke and Lorelai's relationship. It was smart not to have a drawn out conversation or a huge declaration of love. I like this scene. It fits them better!

I meant that I think if there was a season 8 then they probably would have had Lorelai and Luke find their way back to each other slowly in that season, but when the producers were told this was the end, they had to organize a quick wrap-up instead. Sorry to confuse/disappoint you. There is no season 8. :(

Love the kiss, but as a fan, I feel ripped off. Fans supported the show for 7 seasons to only see Lorelai marry the wrong man (his storyline was done season 5). I don't understand why the writers ruined the L & L relationship. The quality of the show decreased the moment they did. I know the show was about the girls but the moment L & L became an item everything change. People loved that couple bc they were genuine & one of the cutest TV couples. I really wish we could have see their wedding.
you don't see them together anymore after this. the next morning, rory & lorelai have breakfast at the diner, rory sees the necklace lorelai is wearing (the one luke bought but didnt give at first) and they kinda end the show the way they started it. but no more luke/lorelai moments :(
@essyluv well there is a sort of ending moment witht the two of them. We have them at the dienr and you can see the way he looks at her and the way he says "Take as long as you need" That clearly shows that he is all in it. So we have a luke Lorelai and rory moment. Soo you still see the interaction. uke always has to be professional at lukes....sort of :P
@essyluv You don't really need to see anything else, she's wearing the neckless Luke got for her, everything's how it's supposed to be, you don't need to see it, it so obviously implied that it all worked out how it was supposed to from the beginning :)
Now I know that isn't the final Luke and Lorelai seen that we all wanted and prayed for (ie a wedding) but just those few words... especially Lorelai's "luke.." is just filled with sooo much emotion you can clearly see the open, deep rooted feelings they hold for each other.
They know they belong together.. they went through the toughest of toughs with their horrendous breakup that lasted a year. And yet here..we see.. that through it all. They still love each other completely

Gahhhh I miss this show!! I miss Luke and Lorelai! But wow, just the way Lorelai says "Luke" is so powerful. I just wish they would make that movie finally. But either way, in my mind Luke and Lorelai are happily married in Stars Hollow and expecting their second child. LOL

@salemwitchluvah I loved this show also, my daughter and I never missed it. I agree Luke and Lorelai are happily married in Stars Hollow - but they don't have a second child. They have the twins that Lorelai dreamed about when she dreamed her and Luke were married. :)

Love the kiss, but as a fan, I feel ripped off. Fans supported the show for 7 seasons to only see Lorelai marry the wrong man (his storyline was done season 5). I don't understand why the writers ruined the L & L relationship. The quality of the show decreased the moment they did. I know the show was about the girls but the moment L & L became an item everything change. People loved that couple bc they were genuine & one of the cutest TV couples. I really wish we could have see their wedding.

you don't see them together anymore after this. the next morning, rory & lorelai have breakfast at the diner, rory sees the necklace lorelai is wearing (the one luke bought but didnt give at first) and they kinda end the show the way they started it. but no more luke/lorelai moments :(

@essyluv well there is a sort of ending moment witht the two of them. We have them at the dienr and you can see the way he looks at her and the way he says "Take as long as you need" That clearly shows that he is all in it. So we have a luke Lorelai and rory moment. Soo you still see the interaction. uke always has to be professional at lukes....sort of :P

Now I know that isn't the final Luke and Lorelai seen that we all wanted and prayed for (ie a wedding) but just those few words... especially Lorelai's "luke.." is just filled with sooo much emotion you can clearly see the open, deep rooted feelings they hold for each other.
They know they belong together.. they went through the toughest of toughs with their horrendous breakup that lasted a year. And yet here..we see.. that through it all. They still love each other completely
